                 NIGHTMARES, ever since her week in the hospital, she’s been fucking terrified honestly, and she doesn’t want to worry Nita anymore than she has. A hard blink and she’s in his room, looking out the window, it’s a beautiful view really. “I uh...” Words are whispered, as if not to disturb the peace of his home. “--guess I needed company.”

At Lito’s response, Wolfgang’s lips CURL in a near-smile, mostly grimace. “I’m not afraid of death. It’s all the in-between shit that gets to me.”

He is in Lito’s world right now--the warm sand and the hiss of the ocean make for much better scenery than Wolfgang’s current location: the laboratory, the stinging smell of iodine, the taste of his own blood. 

They’re SAFE here, for a moment. Wolfgang has slipped through the sensate veil where the Whispers can’t track him...but he won’t be able to keep this up for long. He looks out at the ocean and then says: “I need a favor. I need you to call someone. Tell him I’m okay.”

Felix is going to get himself killed hunting for Wolfgang otherwise.

Wolfgang could feel all of the absolute love Lito had for the Hernando in his heart as if it were his own. He could never willing let something happen to the other man’s family anymore than he could Felix, or another in their cluster.

“We are going to get him safe, but we have to be smart. Or he could get hurt.” There was a difference between rushing into a plan headfirst when there was someone else besides himself to keep safe. There was a vulnerability that came with rescuing someone. Your cards were already out on the table because they already had what you wanted.

“Do you have anything in here that can be used as a weapon?”
