Sylvain is it true that Miklan tried to drown you in a well when you were younger?

Uh, I know I'm not the most trustworthy guy, but that’s... I mean, I wouldn’t lie about it. Not that I can prove it either, I guess. Other than the being in the well bit, which someone saw. Obviously. 

So, yeah. It’s true. But it’s up to you if you want to believe it or not. I can’t say it wouldn’t hurt if you thought I was lying, but, hey, I guess that’s on me.

If your parents treated him better then he wouldn’t have been so horrible to you. I hope that Miklan one day will be nice, but he probably won’t.

Not a bad point... But if anyone, I’d blame my parents for that. They didn’t even give him a chance to prove himself, you know? Miklan doesn’t look it, but he was a kid once too. Their job was to look after him, and they were more interested in looking after their precious power and status. He didn’t ask for this either.

Ah, but then again, he had a choice not to kill me over that and he decided that wasn’t worth it. So who really knows? All we can say for sure is that he probably won’t be nice, yeah. At least not to me.

Especially after the whole spear thing. He finally got his reason to hate me, so... That’s that, I guess.

It's so cute how you consider your friends to be your family. Oh yeah I met your older brother Miklan and he's very mean and awful.

We’ve been close most of my childhood, so it’s easy to see them that way, you know? Anyway, heh... Thanks!

Sorry you ran into him, he’s, uh... I guess he’s an acquired taste? A lot of people have followed him to the end, and he’s inspired them to work together when they couldn’t have otherwise. It’s impressive, if you think about it.

But in my experience, that’s basically the only way to put it: he’s just plain mean and awful. Might’ve been nice to see something else. I guess there’s nothing I can do about that now.

It’s great, right? Not sure how I did it, but it looks my good luck is still intact.

I... Thank you, Sylvain. You are more forgiving than I deserve. I said such horrible things to you, and yet... You seem like such a kind person. Ad much as I miss Miklan... It still doesn't give me the right to be so horrible to you. Your brother... If you really got to know him, he... He wasn't a bad person... Just horribly misunderstood and not given a fair chance. I... I'm so sorry you never got a chance to have a good relationship with him...

It’s not like I’ve never done anything horrible, you know? I’d want to have the chance to be forgiven too. So, really... Don’t worry about it. Even if neither of us got the chances we should have for something more, it doesn’t have to be that way for everyone. I can’t change how it was, but maybe I can make things better for someone like him down the line.

Is there anything we can get you to make you feel better?

I don’t know. And don’t worry, I’m not trying to avoid anything. I really do mean that. The hugs are always nice, but I just can’t wrap my mind around a solution to the problem. Or if there’s even a problem.

...I’m a little terrified to find out, actually.
