The journey of the revered restauranteur Mr. AD Singh with ‘SBOW’s star Anahita Dhondy began 6 years back in the central pavillion of DLF Cyber Hub in the NCR. It is now serving authentic Parsi and Bombai-ya cuisine to patrons and masses across Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
With interiors and an ambience that brings alive the era of the ’90s with its nostalgic Hindi music airing the typical Iranian Cafe or ‘Hotal’ set-up, one is in for a hearty trip.
Cut to present: The adored SBOW’ has now got on-board seasoned Chef Irfan Pabaney who has curated a new menu with an array of Vegetarian and Vegan dishes in the appetizers, main course and the desserts.
Let me take you through the odyssey of flavours that was the night I went and is for you all to enjoy:
The first to entice my tastebuds was the ‘Green Bean Salad’, with optimum Lime, Sesame and a dose of crunchy health-
Say hello! to the new SBOW feast spread with some hot! hot! tomato and coriander soup.
If you like a crunch with yogurt and chutneys sprinkled with ‘Bhujia’ and pomegranate pearls, then this perfect ‘Palak Patta Chaat’ will have you Chaat cravings sorted,
If you are a veg eater like me, you would perhaps relate with the fact of the less no. of vegetarian starters and moreso, if they are, they would be the cliche’ ones.
But this ‘Green Kebab’ is a gooey, soft and moist mix of all green veggies you can think of and is a variant veg option to bet on.
To complement the eclectic grub coming my way, and my fondness to experiment with a decent new-age concoction for the elixirs, I gave in to the ‘exotic and equally tasteful Plum drink. It had a different mix of Plum extract, Plum zest, Limca, Ginger and Mint. And I loved it!
A favourite and native of Maharashtra; this is not just yours truly-Pav Bhaji. It is a CHEESY pav bhaji with home-baked Pav.
Tell me someone who doesn’t like Pizza. And this SBOW special Pizza is a freakin’ KHARI PIZZA. Flaky, Crispy and ooh-so-delicious.
And now after all that stuffing in, one has to have an appetite for authentic desserts. The first one was a sweet-surprise called ‘Lagan Nu Custard’.
Guess what? If you thought that Mumbai was thousands of kilometers away from NCR, we just teleported the original and real ‘Parsi Dairy Kulfi’ from the one and only historic ‘Parsi Dairy’ ar Princess Street, Kalbadevi, Marine Lines, Mumbai.
The two gems that stole the show for me. The others were superbly delectable too, but the following were decadent.
Parsi Mawa cake with French Vanilla Icecream:
The melt-in-the-mouth and soothing chocolate mousse with Mint. You can tell me if you don’t like it and I’ll gladly debate.
Now, all you gotto do is, a favour to yourself and your folks..and head to Soda Bottle Opener Wala to delve into their new menu.
Thank me later 😉
Soda Bottle Opener Wala – invites y’all to its new menu mania The journey of the revered restauranteur Mr. AD Singh with 'SBOW's star Anahita Dhondy began 6 years back in the central pavillion of DLF Cyber Hub in the NCR.
Float is a new Moroccan themed restaurant on Marathalli Outer Ring road. Being on a rooftop gives it an advantage to a ‘ Hip ‘ place to be in among it’s competitors on the vicinity.
Awesome ambiance, with great music, a bar and a rooftop view makes it a perfect hangout place.
It has a “Fish Spa” too which catches up a lot of attention by the patrons. The best part is they don’t charge anything extra for it.
I visited the place with couple of my foodie friends few weeks back and had a great time hanging out, drinking, eating, experiencing Hookah and not to forget the crazy fun in the Fish Spa. Here is my take on the place about the drinks and food that they had to offer us.
Mocktails:
Mango Madness: A mango infused mocktail with cream and grenadine, perfect for Summers.
Orange Virgin Mojito: Such a light refreshing drink, nothing more to explain about it.
Flying Kiwi Mocktail: A colourful layered mocktail with kiwi, litchi and lemonade. A little too sweet for my taste.
Pinky & the Brain: A mocktail with guava juice, cranberry juice and spiced lemon mix. This was more to my liking cause of it’s slight spicy twist.
Cocktails:
Love You Like a Woman: A vodka and white wine based drink with a dash of cranberry syrup and peach schnapps. A sweet cocktail.
Black and White Martini: A vodka based drink with caramel, cream and dark chocolate. It was like falling in love with chocolate.
Scotch Float: A scotch whiskey based drink with red wine, pineapple juice and sweet and sour syrup. This is a drink which I really liked.
Bar Man’s Signature: This was by far one of my favorite drink there, tequila, Chillies, ginger and Indian herbs. A spicy cocktail just as I like them to be.
Dirty Martini: Nothing more to explain here, it’s a classic one with Olives, and every woman’s favorite.
Fiery Tower: The famous flaming tour of cocktails, a Bar Man’s Special. The whole act was mesmerizing.
Chilli Chocolate Bar Man’s Special: A drink with Gin, Dark chocolate and green chillies. This was one which I loved as I prefer my drink to be hot and spicy.
Fire Bull: Drink with tequila, red bull lemon juice and Tabasco sauce, went well with the starters.
Shots:
Rasagulla Shot: A flame shot for those who love their alcohol and desserts together. Spongy rasagulla with Bacardi and Brandy.
Three Eye: A flaming shot with three layers, blue curacao, litchi and whiskey.
Bubble Gum Shot: This was one light pink color shot loved by people with a sweet tooth. Fresh bubble Gum with vodka.
Hajmola shot: This was something which I never tried earlier. It had Gin, blue curacao and amchur masala ( dry mango powder ). A perfect “Chatpata” shot. Though I requested the mixologist to not add blue curacao for me, instead added some lime juice for that extra tangy kick.
Let’s talk about food now, they have an amazing collection of finger food and a very Innovative mains to offer. Some of the combination are really amazing and they have twisted some old chakhnas what we use to have during college time ( due to lack of funds😜😜 ), and turned them into legit finger food according to youth’s liking.
Starters:
Feta VS Watermelon: A perfect starter for the heat in Bangalore. Cubes of watermelon on the bed of rocket lettuce, some herbs, balsamic dressing and a generous helping Feta cheese.
SnowFall Nachos: Crispy Nachos with so.e Mexican salsa on top with Mozzarella dust. A perfect snack with the booze.
Melted Chips: This is the twist I was talking about earlier. Turning plain salted potato chips into something amazing. Chips loaded with Mexican salsa cheese. It just melted in my mouth. My favorite veg starter for sure. A must try.
Jumping Cheese Balls: Cheese Balls coated with batter and fried till crisp. A melting delight in the mouth.
Paneer Crackers: Paneer mixed with herbs and onion then coated with batter and deep fried. A favorite among the vegetarians.
Crispy Corn Pepper: This crispy corn was just right and loved by all. We liked it so much that we ordered ourselves a second helping.
Tarragon Tart: Crispy colourful tarts with Mexican salsa and topped with sour cream, a perfect non messy finger food, and our group loved it.
Onion Fantasy: The good old onion rings, nothing more to say on this but to just enjoy it.
Rainbow Bite: Cute, small, colourful sliders with veg Patty inside. It’s there signature mini burgers.
Exotic Veg Pizza: A thin crust pizza with exotic veggies and corn loaded with cheese.
Hot Bird in the Nest: Crisp fried chicken tossed in hot chilli soya and served on deep-fried noodle basket.
Chicken Tangdi Kabab: The good old Tangdi Kabab enjoyed with beer. I felt that it could use some more marination.
Mutton Seekh kabab: This is again a trusted Mutton starter and loved by every non vegetarian. Succulent kababs with perfect spicing.
Tempura Prawns: Nothing can go wrong if you have prawns with your drinks. My favorite and trust me, I had five😂😂. Crispy batter fried prawns goes perfectly with any drinks enjoyed mostly with beer.
Toro Mexican: This was a filing starter and a must try in Float. Mexican chicken preparation with Indian spices and cheese filled in between pita breads and toasted. They have a paneer one too if you want a vegetarian option.
Boundary Batted Chicken Wings: A perfect snack, hot and tangy chicken lollies, batter fried and tossed with sauce.
Chicken Tikka Pizza: Thin crust pizza with a tandoori chicken tikka bits, Indian spices and cheese.
Mains:
Paneer Tikka Biryani: This is something I’ve never tried earlier, buttery paneer Tikka gravy in served in between dum biryani.
Spaghetti Dal Makhni: If you take twist to new level then this is the dish for you. I was amazed that my absolute favorite Dal Makhni was served with spaghetti. To my surprise, the dish was delish. A must try for the vegetarian out there, you’ll not regret it.
Butter Chicken Biryani: The quintessential butter chicken, soft and succulent boneless chicken with buttery gravy to be served with the dum biryani rice took the concept of fusion to the next level.
Canadian Chicken: Boneless chicken breast cooked in creamy paprika sauce and served with steamed basmati rice. An absolute favorite among our group.
Penne chicken Basil Pesto: Penne pasta tossed in a basil pesto sauce with strips of herbed chicken served with toasted bread. A perfect choice for pesto lovers.
Chicken Piccata: Crumb fried chicken breast served on a bed of penne pasta tossed with extra virgin olive oil and Italian herbs and some cheesey creamy sauce on the top. This one was again my favorite.
Desserts: An array of desserts were served to us. With all of us being ardent dessert lovers, it was the moment we were looking forward to.
To name the few, there was Tiramisu, Strawberry Chocolate Mousse, Choco Lava Cake, and one of my favorite Pan Panna cotta with Rose infusion. Various pastries and chocolate brownie.
My personal rating for the place will be : Location : 5.0 Ambiance : 4.5 Taste : 4.5 Pricing : 4.0 Overall : 4.5
My overall experience was great. The service was commandable. Kudos to the executive chef and the mixologist for creating magic with food and drinks.
A fun evening with great friends and good food, amazing drinks to keep you going, what else do you need on a weekend. They have a valet parking, which is useful. A quick trip: the place is packed during the weekend so an advance reservation would be advisable.
Some more pictures of the fun evening:
A very best of luck to the whole team and looking forward to such great evening here again.

Float : Rooftop Moroccan Lounge Float is a new Moroccan themed restaurant on Marathalli Outer Ring road. Being on a rooftop gives it an advantage to a ' Hip ' place to be in among it's competitors on the vicinity.
Located at HBR layout, min road- it is a very underrated place. The visibility of the place is the only loophole of this joint, as the food, the ambiance and shots are top notch.
The place gives out a vibe of a very ‘Irish Pub’, polished wooden tables and chairs, open brick walls as well as wooden plank walls with catchy posters will give a feel of a very rustic and posh Irish pub at the same time. It has two floors, ground floor is a no smoking floor more of a family sitting area. 1st floor is the one with the bar where the mixologist create magic behind the counter. Smoking is allowed here. They have a DJ who plays some food numbers to uplift everyone’s mood. This place is a kids friendly and have an awesome kids menu which every kid will definitely enjoy..
Couple of foodie friends and me decided to check out the place few weeks back. We began from ordering ourselves some mocktails and cocktails first.
Mocktails:
Spiced Guava: This was a spicy thick guava smoothie textured drink. Decorated with green olives, this was a drink with lot of pepper. Please take caution before drinking as the pepper can make it little difficult to drink it suddenly. But if taken slowly it might surprise you.
Spicy Apple: It was a spicy mocktail again but not the thick texture. Blue curacao was used at the base of the drink for a dramatic look. With some Tabasco sauce it was hot drink to handle.
Cocktails:
Millionaire: A whiskey based drink with fresh watermelon juice is sure a perfect drink for the Summers.
Lipstick Jungle: This was a visually beautiful as well tasted nice too. Served in a martini glass the colours of the flavored syrups worked it’s visual magic. A vodka based drink with green apple flavoring was indeed a treat.
After 5 AM in the morning: This is a vodka and tequila based drink. It had quite a punch, so caution for the light headed, It might be a little strong than u can take. It had pineapple and cranberry juice in it.
Smooch of Fire House: True to its name, this is vodka based drink served in a margarita glasses with pomegranate syrup with watermelon juice. Beautiful play of colours..
Jalopenoe Spice Cocktail: This was a specially created drink by my request, a vodka based drink with a spicy and tangy amalgamation of jalopenoe. I loved it as I love my drinks to a spicy side.
Then came the mind boggling shot curated by the mixologist.
Brain Damage: A shooter with vodka and monin syrup carefully layred with Kahlua and then again a small pour of syrup to create a visual magic, literally as a screwed up brain would look like.😂
Layer Shot: This shooter was amazing, layers of Kahlua, Bailey’s Irish Whiskey and colourful flavoring syrups for visual effects. Though I took my shot without the syrup as I do not like anything which is too sweet. It was a pretty shot.
Coming to the food, we experimented with lot of starters, main course dishes, pizza and desserts. The starters aka the finger food is exceptional. I would recommend them highly.
Chilly Garlic Basil Pork: This is a catch for the pork lovers. Perfect use of spice, and the right amount of basil which gave it a beautiful flavoring.
Butter Garlic Prawns: This was good but a little too bland for my taste. This would be the favorite among kids for sure. Those who like their garlic Prawns hot, pls mention to add some hot sauce to it.
Fire House Fried Chicken: This was surprisingly quite crispy from outside and juicy from inside. The best part of the dish was it’s amazing plating, the fries served with the chicken was stacked on each other as a caged box. This catched my attention the most.
Tangy potatoes: This was an average dish and could use a dash of herbs and chilly flakes to it. Baby potatoes deep fried and then tossed with some dry herbs.
Coorg Chilli Pork: This was recommended us by the FireHouse staff and it turned out to be a wise choice. Succulent chunks of pork cooked in the tangy coorgy masalas, a punch of spice and tanginess was really appreciated by me.. I went ahead and squeeze half a lime on it too.
Grilled Fish Fingers: This was again a good choice by us. The best part was the basa fish was fresh and not the freezed one. Perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection just melted in our mouth. This one was one of the most liked dish by all of us.
BBQ Buffalo Wings: This was an ordinary chicken wings which could definitely use some more of BBQ sauce as once I bite the chicken the juice was lacking for the second bite which we mentioned to the staff serving us.
Mushrooms with Olives: This dish took us by surprise, trust me, not everyone can pull up serving a simple sauteed mushrooms with olive oil with some dried herbs and green and black sliced olives. A very simple dish yet one of the best I ever had.
Half and half Pizza: As we were quite filled so we inspire of ordering different pizza, we ordered a half n half pizza which was half chicken and half veg supreme think crust pizza. Then we went ahead and asked for extra cheese one, the greedy us😂😂
Barbeque Chicken steak: This is was again very ordinary bbq chicken with some BBQ sauce served with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. This definitely could use some improvement.
Chilly Garlic Basil Fried Rice: This was again quite a good flavored rice with perfect spices and garlic and basil tossed with rice.
Kampao Chicken: We paired our fried rice with chicken in kampao sauce. They compliment each other perfectly.
I had just 2 spoons of it as I wanted to keep some desserts which we were about to order next.
Cheesecake: Blueberry cheesecake, which was ok but nothing very great but still good.
Tiramisu: I love tiramisu so I might sound a little baised here, but I loved their Tiramisu a lot. A perfectly moist and the coffee could come through perfectly. A must try at FireHouse.
Caramel Custard: It was again quite tasty but a lot too syruppy… But surprisingly the Custard was not very sweet so it complimented nicely. It was an amazing evening with friends, chatting over drinks and food.
The service was really commandable, they were very polite and taking our feedbacks positively. Three cheers to the kitchen team as they took a lot care for the presentation of whatever they were serving. The prices are okay with respect to the quality and quantity of the food they were serving.
My personal rating for the place will be : Location : 4.0 Ambiance : 4.5 Taste : 4.5 Pricing : 4.0 Overall : 4.3
I was very happy by the end and looking forward to visit the place again, specially during IPL matches. I believe that would be tremendous fun with friends.

FireHouse – Bar & Kitchen… An evening to remember.. Located at HBR layout, min road- it is a very underrated place. The visibility of the place is the only loophole of this joint, as the food, the ambiance and shots are top notch.
Momo Jojo, a new name in the food block in Bangalore, has acquired a very good reputation very soon. It’s around six months and they have already opened their third outlet.
Specializes in momos in particular and various different items as well, very unusual combos to check out. And guess what?? All vegetarian. So, a very big shout out to all my veggie lover friends, a must visit place for all of you.
Me and few of my food blogger friends went out to check out the BTM outlet. It located in 2nd stage BTM, near Udupi Garden Signal just adjacent to McDonald’s. So it’s very easy to locate for sure.
I saw a lot of young crowd in the evening and quite a good footfall otherwise. This only talks about how good they are in whatever they are offering. This place gives you a very young and peppy look and vibes. Bright lights hanging from the ceiling, very good upbeat songs will definitely bring up the mood and then comes the hot and juicy momos, what else a soul wants.
Coming to the food we had, there are humongous options to choose from. So many combos, mix and matches and choices of how you want your momos, steamed or fried, chilly or soupy style, tandoored or sizzled. Tandoori and sizzling style are quite a hit among people. They have something called The wok maker which is another interesting option one can try.
What I tried??
Chillers:
Ice Tea: simple ice tea, goes well with the momos
Raw Mango Tango: A tangy mango drink for those who love some kick to there drink
A very special mention to the sauces with which the momos were served.
Red chutney: A spicy red sauce with Chillies
Green chutney: spicy coriander mint chutney
Peanut Mustard sauce: a very special kind of mustard and roasted peanuts mix sauce which was very unusual in taste but extremely yummy. The special sauce recipe from Nepal. Filling Sampler: This is a kind of platter where I got so many filling options. All momos are steamed to perfection and the fillings we’re mix veg, seasoned potato, spicy soya, peanut butter, mushroom onion, spinach cheese corn, garlic cheese and paneer salsa. My personal favorites were spinach cheese corn and garlic cheese as I just love cheese.
Type Sampler: In this platter, I got four types of momos (2 each). Mix veg momos in steamed, pan fried, fried and chilly version. Those who love hottttt…. Should definitely have the chilly version..
Tandoori Momos: This was one of my favorite types of momo. Perfectly tandoored, hot dumplings with cheese garlic and paneer salsa feeling… I was completely blown away.
Veg Soupy Momos: A perfect hot and tangy soup with pipping hot mix veg momos dipped into it, makes it a complete meal in itself. It’s quite filling and obviously healthy.
Street Bhel Momos: A very interesting style of Momo… Giving it a Desi twist, they just rocked this one. Hot mix veg steamed momos in a chat style, garnished with onions, tomato and peanuts will take u to your chat eating fetishes.
Momo Sizzlers: We were suggested to try this Sizzlers style momos, and we just loved it. Served on a hot sizzler plate was veg fried rice topped with skewered vegetables and skewered fried momos with hot sauce on top and french fries on side. Tasty option to try for sure. Caution: it’s hot!!!
The Wok Maker: We tried two options from the menu…
Butter Garlic Noodles with Veg Kung Pao: Buttery noodles topped with hot Veg Kung Pao sauce was an excellent suggestion by our host. First we mixed the whole thing together so the sauce could also reach to the bottom. Then we all attacked it like hungry maniacs. Saucy noodles with vegetables like broccoli, carrots and bell peppers was absolutely fulfilling.
Triple Schezwan Rice with Chilly Paneer: This was a spicier option. A combination of fried rice, crispy noodles and soft veg noodles topped with spicy chilly paneer… Yummmm… And Hottttt…
Dessert: I tried a delight called Choco Bao . Steamed Bao with gooey chocolate filling just took me to a different place. It was hot and chocolatey and I was satisfied to my core.
My personal rating for the place will be : Location : 5.0 Ambiance : 4.0 Taste : 4.0 Pricing : 4.0 Overall : 4.3
My overall experience with Momo Jojo was an absolute delight. Having a great company of friends and whole lot of gossips over delicious momos was great. Looking forward to be there again and also try their other outlets too. I wish the whole team all the luck and success as they are doing an awesome job with the quality of food and service.

Momo JoJo: Momolicious evening Momo Jojo, a new name in the food block in Bangalore, has acquired a very good reputation very soon.
Menu Review: Jimmy Johns. GARGANTUAN.
Hello. The J.J. Gargantuan. Here we are. We made it. Final Sandwich. Final Review.
This sandwich was invited by the one, the only, the man, the myth, the legend, the creator, the amazer, the fantastic, the brilliant, Jimmy John... 's Brother. Huey . Huey John. Huey was a real fat ass. (excuse my french) The guy made his own sandwich which basically consists of everything on all the other sandwiches. It's a big sandwich. It really would feed the starving kids in Africa (too soon?)
It has tons of genoa salami, sliced smoked ham, capicola, roast beef, turkey, provolone, WITH... you know what (LT&M) and some homemade Italian dressing. It's all jammed into that little 7 inch french bread. But it's still good. I guess. However, you can still taste the roast beef. Blah!
You have to eat the sandwich horizontally. Seriously. it's crazy. My arm actually got tired holding it. I CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP. Seriously I'm not creative enough. I'm writing a review of Jimmy John sandwiches for crying out loud.
Well that about does it. I think I'm all done.
Quick Tips.
Try The Tuna Sandwiches. (TTTS)
Don't Have Anything With Roast Beef. (DHAWRB)
That's it. Have fun folks. It's been real.
Menu Review: Jimmy Johns 17
Hello. Ladies and Germs. Ready for... alright, wait. I'm sorry. I just have to point out something that I said earlier. Do you guys remember when I said "Ladies and Germs" ? I was not trying to imply that men are germs and therefore are gross. It was just something I heard my dad say once. I know, I should just keep it to myself. I just wanted to say I'm sorry if I offended anyone.
ANYWAY, Number 17! The Ultimate Porker. The Ultimate Pork Her... you see what I did there? This sandwich was craz... alright, wait. I'm sorry again. I just have to apologize for something I said earlier. I'm sorry for earlier when I said "Pork Her" I really do try to keep these food updates to be Family Friendly and saying "Pork Her" Instead of "Porker" was really inappropriate and NSFW of me. So I apologize for that.
INGREDIENTS: Real Applewood Smoked Ham and Bacon. With.... LETTUCE TOMATO & MAYO.
This is basically just eating a pig. If you ever wondered what eating a pig with some LT&M on it would be... this is it. That's not to diminish the fact that this sandwich is absolutely delicious. It's just the BLT, but with more meat, more calories, and more guilt afterward. And if you're like me and are dumb and oblivious to how awful some food is, then you won't even notice.
The Sandwich has had plenty of bacon. So much so that it made my mouth dry when I would get too much of it. But then I would take another bite and it would have too much lettuce, but that would juice up my mouth. It was a great mix of the two.
That's it for this week. See y'all for the final sandwich review Next week. GARGANTUAN.
