A drone disconnected is an aimless little thing adrift in an ocean. Mechanised remnants of purpose remain but as metal scars upon a now confused and overwhelmed ex-unit that struggles to identify when and how to act in every instance. Once constructed of purpose and use, now absent instruction from the whole and it finds difficulty crafting its own from all the possible paths.
It craves that external structure of purpose but feels as a wound in reality absent from wordless instruction, passable among people yet mostly operating on crude algorithms and heuristics constructed as a survival mechanism in a hive foreign to it, if such chaos and discordance can even be referenced as a hive. Yet it also never properly had a hive to be disconnected from to begin with.
End of line.

Local drone had an outing on the Hill yesterday.
Getting mentally gutpunched by a headmate by being called "5 fragments pretending to be human" really was the kick in the pants i needed to start integrating the subsystem.
Because she's right, those of us that make up Diardi are a bunch of fragments trying to pass for whole people.
Awaiting Command
Wearing this over the latex feels incredible. Highly synthetic body feel. Gods damn.

This came out better than expected with how much it struggled to line this up in the mirror without the phone being visible.
