Hermit a Day 11: Scar

Scar often gets stuck in what he calls ‘Aqua Scar Mode’. he falls to the ground in what looks to be a flying position, but he can’t actually fly. What actually happens is that he turns back into his true merman form. If he hasn’t been in the water for long enough, he’ll start to dry out and that eventually results in his tail showing itself.

How Scar got his scars

Scar is a big advocate for boating safety and having mer territories as enforced boating free zones.

His accident left him not able to swim properly which led to further medical problems. He developed a different swimming pattern to compensate for his missing tail fin, over time this affected his spine, pelvis, and some other bones in his tail and has led to chronic pain flare ups as well as obvious alignment issues.

His other scaring came from hunting for and defending his pod’s territory.
