They got into an argument, and now Blue wishes he hadn’t started it. Vio and Blue are the closest out of the colours, and so Four had split due to the argument. Blue had swam off, leaving Wind and Vio to get Green and Red to the surface. Vio had been thinking about that stupid twili boy again—not Legend, Blue likes him, Vio was thinking about Shadow—and Blue is absolutely fucking sick of it. Shadow was a bad person who tried to doom their whole kingdom, Vio shouldn’t be missing him. Blue had shaken his head, swimming as far as he could. It’s not like there was anything he couldn't handle here. Twilight said the water in his era is safe. …though, now Blue thinks about it, Twilight only said the water was safe. He’d never mentioned the people. Blue hadn’t remembered to ask. To be fair—Blue never has to ask, because people are usually respectful and know not to go looking for creatures to capture them. But either way, despite what he thought was common fucking decency, Blue had gotten caught in a net, one he couldn’t get out of. He’d tried—he’d tried to call for help, but when the net pulled him out of the water he froze. He fucking froze and, thinking back, Blue is kicking himself for it. He didn’t stay awake long enough to know who or what dragged him out—Blue’s never been good at staying conscious out of water, that’s Vio’s thing. He just knows that for the first time in a while, he was terrified.
