Two days later, and it already felt like a lifetime. She had hoped that she could have stolen some of Bane and Jonathan’s attention for herself, she instead found the house empty and both men involved in their own devices. She spent the first day convincing herself she wasn’t bitter, the second in silent resignation as her few belongings disappeared into two bags.
All her excuses went unheard and not soon enough she found herself stepping out of an unmarked car that had appeared at her doorstep half a day early. The driver was a blissfully silent man who had said nothing of her tears, although they would have been denied anyway.
The first face she saw was Remy’s and she immediately dropped her morose attitude, the only one who needed to know how much pain Bane and Jonathan’s absence truly caused her was herself. “Your punctuality is sexy, Bossman. A girl could get used to this type of service.”
Her eyes roamed the plane behind him, clearly not a commercial line which pleased her, “Is that all ours?” She questioned at she finally reached his side, a sincere grin in place and any traces of previous emotion gone from her eyes. A soft rolling sound came from behind her as one of the employees passed them by with her bags in hand, clearly destined for the plane itself.
Number 24: Mundane/Domestic!AU Hmm, well. I'm actually stumped on this one. But I'm sure we can think of something. Not even going to lie, I had got number 18 at first. It was an Incest!AU. I--we're just going to leave that one alone.
Anya was livid, she didn’t care if she was seven, this was the worst babysitter she had ever had. “Is that a sippy cup?” She looked at the hand holding the cup out with all the distain a seven year old can muster, eyes flicking up at the man. He could look frustrated all he wanted, she didn’t ask for some guy who clearly hadn’t done his homework on childcare 101 to take care of her.
It wasn’t really his fault though; Anya was exactly a typical seven year old. Maybe that had something to do with how she lived in Russia, maybe it had something to do with Jeannette teaching her about how bloody revolutionary France really was, or maybe living around Ragdoll in general had its effects. Either way, she wasn’t the type of kid to just be sat in a corner with a tv and ignored…and she definitely wasn’t drinking out of a sippy cup.
Neck: My character or yours biting the other on the neck
It was pouring outside, the kind of rain that you could hear pounding off the rooftops and had trouble seeing through the windows because of. It had been a dry month as far as workload went and there had been some blessed time off of work for Moriarty’s gang. Sebastian had left a few days ago with Moriarty, something about contracting some work for the grand empire? Anya didn’t really know, having the mansion left to just her and Remy was rare, but she was taking full advantage of the situation.
She was currently stretched out across the floor of the living room, covered only by one of Remy’s shirts that fit a little too loosely around her and a pair of his boxer-briefs snug around her waist. A book written in Russian laid across her face from when she had dozed off waiting for Remy to come back with a pizza from their favorite place down the road from them. She didn’t hear the door open or the soft rustle of wet fabric being removed, she didn’t even stir until Remy’s hand glided under his shirt and his breath ghosted against her ear.
“You dozed off, love.” Soft lips pressed into the skin of her exposed neck, “And you seem to be wearing my clothes.”
“They smell like your cologne.” She murmured voice still heavy with sleep. “Got something to say about it, bossman?”
Remy smiled into her skin, even half asleep his Anya was a fighter. He shifted his weight as he swung his leg across her waist, straddling her and making her book fall to the floor. She mewled softly when his teeth pinched her skin and his tongue lapped away the initial burn. “And if I do, I suppose it’s my job to take back what’s mine.” It wasn’t a question, it was a promise that Anya eagerly looked forward to seeing filled as one hand trailed further up her shirt and the other found one of her wrists.
Her hips jumped toward his when his fingers passed near one of her nipples, “It’ll be a fight.” Her back arched up to meet his wayward hand involuntarily and he pulled away from her shoulder to place the softest kisses against her jawline.
“That would be a promise you just made me, Miss Lawton.” Remy hissed at the sensation of her free hands nails digging across the skin of his back and allowed her to capture his lips in a heavy kiss that ended with both of them pulling away a few moments later. They breathed each other’s air for a moment, lips only centimeters away from each other, eyes locked but full of adoration and possession.
“I hate it when you call me that.” They both shook with silent laughter, the air playful around them. Remy pulled away finally, offering a hand and pulling Anya to her feet. The smell of the pizza had filled the room and her stomach rumbled softly.
“Come on, thief, pizza is getting cold.” He crossed the room, opening the box and ripping a slice away from the others.
“That’s when it’s best, Bossman. You have a lot to learn.” They shared content grins as the rain pounded away outside, books and other activities forgotten as they enjoyed the chance to do nothing but enjoy one another.
