Mercurialfly ramblings because they’ve been consuming my thoughts all week
I think they’d be really cute together because imagine, Sugarfly who was insecure about her appearance, thinking that her lack of colors made her bland and ugly only to fall in love with Mercurial and finding him beautiful despite being what she used to hate about herself. I think it’s poetic in a way and would show that she’s moved past her former narrow idea of beauty. Plus the possibility that Mercurial Knight may have some survivor’s guilt from his fallen comrades based on his conversation with PV and co in the memorial for the silver knights and one of his defeat lines being him blaming himself, it makes me wonder how he’d interact with Sugarfly who kinda disappeared from the kingdom for who knows who long and then came back with tattered wings
also something sillier but still cute that contributed to this obsession with them: they seem to enjoy each other’s company in my kingdom because they auto generate together a lot for balloon expeditions
