WITH A CARELESS shrug, Merlin didn’t attempt to justify his actions. It wasn’t often that he engaged in messing with fate; it never seemed to work out for him, and he wasn’t exactly fond of inevitably creating the disaster that he was attempting to stop. But this time, he simply didn’t have the patience to put in much effort; he was happy enough to make sure the god before him was contained for long enough that the vision he’d been granted with was no longer viable.
AND HEY, AT least Merlin’s containment was limited to keeping Loki on earth instead of a cell or a house or something similar. Surely there was plenty to do on the planet for the next week or so.
