The sequel to H2O (“Mako Mermaids”) has perhaps the most annoying, petty, miserably morally repugnant protagonists I have ever seen in my life.

I've only seen like one or two episodes and I don't remember them very well so I can't really judge.

ANYWAYS: yeah, from what I’ve seen of people complaining about the fandom... Yiiiiiiiikes. Like, I’ve steered clear of the tags and have just been enjoying what pops up on my dash, but some of the peeps I follow on twitter are talking about the drama and such. 

Like... Nah, I’m too old for that shit. I dealt with enough bull shitery from past fandoms, now I’m just gonna be an old, grouchy vodka aunt enjoying my shows LOL

Trying to figure out how mermaid-like creatures are going to look in my story/world. They are viewed as pests in this world and no one wants anything to do with them because they just scratch up your ships and shit on them or something. 

The first one is a classic mermaid design- I don't want this look in particular but I thought it would be neat to think about anyway.

The second and third are just my thoughts on "what if they just really didn't resemble humans much at all?" I don't want them to end up looking 3edgy5me but these are my first thoughts without research.
