MERMAN ALEKSANDER??? i am on my KNEES but also cackling because I can't help but think of mer aleksander behaving like that crocodile from peter pan following hook's (mal and alina's in this case) ship around. lurking menacingly. mal getting the sixth-sense shivers when he's close by
lmfaoo that's exactly what it's like though. every time mal and alina are sailing they get the impression someone is watching them but they can't see anybody around, and in reality aleksander is literally just lurking in the distance with only his eyes peaking from the water, watching their every move. he is the epitome of the crocodile from peter pan.
if a fish so much as looks at them funny he murders it in cold blood. he'll also swim directly below their boat to thump it and rock it in the same way a cat will butt their head against a human to gain attention. also he leaves dead fish and other sea animals he thinks are edible to them on the beach for them to find in the same way a cat delivers mice to it's owner. this is especially a big deal for him because he is incredibly territorial and he doesn't like sharing his fish with anybody.
