quick question, does anyone know what xiphosura’s plural is? like arachnida’s got arachnids, and eurypterida as eurypterids, so…is it just xiphosurs? or xiphosuras, or the base word itself?

i love how much trk speculation is essentially noah gansey and adam playing life/death hot potato
THATS WHAT HTE FORESHADOWING IS FOR LBR
merostomata replied to your post: hey so i wrote a thing about the movie...
explaining the implications of and history of brownface should be a separate sentence/sentences from introducing the paragraph topic (latina character played by white actress = brownface), i think.
how’s this
There is also the inherent factor of one of the few speaking female characters--Vasquez-- is played as a Latina woman; however, her actress is not Latina, and is in brownface. This is racist, as it takes away roles from actual Latina women, and because Vasquez is played as a butch and “fiercy Latina,” the actress and the film itself are perpetuating stereotypes. Because feminism is for the equality of all people, and the film does not reflect that in its casting, this is another strike against the film’s “feminism.”

omg how’s taking care of snails? are they just aquarium cleaner snails or do they have their own terrarium? can you handle them at all? wow i love snails
they are malaysian trumpet snails! they are aquarium cleaners. i started off with 11 of them and now at any given time there are about 200. i knew they were explosive breeders, but they are very gentle on aquarium plants so it was a trade-off i was willing to make.
if i could have invested in a pleco i would have, but a pleco would have eaten the baby shrimp i was trying to breed! there is only one shrimp remaining in the tank, though, so it has mostly become snail planet.
hi, a) i've loved your rvb fic for years and now that i've gotten into the dcu (watching young justice was my first mistake) i'm reading your blue beetle fic and it's awesome but also painful b) have you read both the 2006 blue beetle and the dcnu blue beetle? if so which would you recommend?
2006 Blue Beetle is my fucking heart and soul and everything to me. Nothing will ever be as good as 2006 Blue Beetle was because im so biased for him now. Original Jaime Reyes was like... groundbreakingly good to me in that it bucked a lot superhero sterotypes and did so many things right and was aggressively positive and inclusive and tongue in cheek and loved its supporting cast as much as its protagonist.
2006 Jaime Reyes is so good that where-ever he made cameos into less-good storylines and comics he made things better by proximity. Like he literally shows up and is just like “WELP LET ME FIX THIS THING YALL HAVE FUCKED UP BY BEING JUST THAT GOOD. JAIME OUT.” That is is how good Jaime Reyes was. DCNU Jaime never got off the ground, but it certainly didn’t make me fall in love as fast as original Jaime so take that however.
