Happy Storyteller Saturday! Your characters found out that the anonymous commentator on their secret poetry blog is none other than their older (or younger) sibling. And they have no idea that the stuff they enjoy so much and are literally fangirling over is made by their sibling because your character writes with an alias. What do they do ?

 This is such a delightful scenario and my first thought is now I want to write this but I’m tired so it’s not happening just now haha

 Assuming Asin is the one writing it and Merrok finds her blog, there is...

 Asin panics like there’s no tomorrow and actually stops uploading stuff for a while bc it’s personal and what if Merrok works it out, she thinks she’d actually die. But then Merrok’s comments are so kind and a little bit worried bc she’s never missed a day uploading yet and something must be going wrong and he’d like to help, if he can... and Asin spends a day straight up hiding as she goes through the backlog of her blog to make sure nothing there could give her away, and eventually decides if he hasn’t got it now, then he’s not gonna, but... she’s more careful about making sure that there’s no hint to her actual life ‘n’ goings on

 Skilkran works it out later, once they’re on ok terms again, but doesn’t bring it up bc he doesn’t want her to stop because it reminds him of before everything went to shit and it’s a comfort

Happy STS!! How do your characters feel about spring? Are there special activities they associate it with? Do they like it, or do they prefer another season?

hey! Happy STS!

 Well, back when Merrok was still Merrok, he absolutely loved spring. hands down, best season

 He couldn’t wait to be able to sneak out of a night and chill in the forest to greet all his li’l nature buddies waking back up from the winter - he’d remind them where the last of their stashes were, bring them food he’d probably snuck off his own plate, have a whole night of just racing about and glorying in how awake everything felt again.

 He tried to bring Asin out once, but although she enjoyed it for his sake, it’s really... not her deal

alright, 2 and 8 for one of your least talked about OCs and 9 and 19 for that one character you will never be able to stop talking about (sorry for not giving specific names, I've been away from my writeblr for almost a year I guess)

Aha no worries! And of course I said yes I’m playing this and then disappeared for three hours on an accidentally long wander. Good times.

 Ok so really there are... most of my OCs still fall under least talked about lmao but seeing as I’m talking Merrok today, he’s getting those!

2: Post a line of dialogue from your OC.

So I’ve actually only written Merrok in... oh, two things so far. This is the older one (which is gonna need rewritten to deal with new info, but that’s an ongoing process)

 “What does he mean, I’m going to be useful today?” he whispered to Asín.

8: Describe one of your OC’s bad habits. 

 He’s bitten his nails down to the quick so often and so badly that they bleed really easily

9: Your OC is having a nightmare. What is it?

Probably about being left behind. Like they’re walking along in a group with their friends, and then they slow down without meaning to and their friends keep walking ahead, and no matter how much they try to speed up, to catch back up to them, their friends just keep getting further out of reach. And not one of them notices or looks back or waits for Kaithr to catch up

19: Your OC’s life is a musical. What’s the title of their big show-stopping song?

hahaha ok hm. It would probably be “I’m Not Who You Think I Am”, and it would be this big build up of all these other characters talking about the stories and the legends and all the hypothesis they have about them, with Kaithr in the middle starting quietly on a “that’s not me” mantra and slowly getting louder until they drown them all out and shut everyone up. Whether or not they actually say who they think they are at any point in this song is entirely up for debate
