I have a partner from a Hindu/Christian family, and my daughter is exploring her own spirituality in connection with nature. We all live apart, but next door to each other and tend to celebrate holidays together in creative ways. One year my kid wanted a Solstice tree, and we didn't really know what we were doing but we figured it out. "How many dreidels does a tree need?" "Depends... How much chocolate gelt comes with each dreidel?" My kid decided to decorate it with dragon plushies who were "guarding the presents" so that became a new tradition that merged with all the other winter holidays too. Anyway... Merry something to us all!
