got tagged by anna!
Rules: in a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!
okay, some of these are collections/comics because that's how i roll, and i'm not feeling like tagging people right now, but feel free to answer the meme! my comments in italics
Jane Austen - Pride and Prejudice (this is the only book that i consistently re-read every couple of years.)
Jessica Zafra - Manananggal Terrorizes Manila and Other Stories (i wish she would write more fiction, although her reviews and op-ed articles are hilarious as well)
Victor Hugo - Les Miserables (duh)
Warren Ellis with art by Darick Robertson - Transmetropolitan (ah, college!)
Neil Gaiman & various artists - The Sandman Series (ah, high school! this revived my love for comics as a storytelling medium after i got sick of the x-men in grade school)
Bill Willingham & various artists - Fables (if you like fairytales/OUaT, you definitely need to read this)
Haruki Murakami - The Elephant Vanishes and Other Stories (this is the last book my dad ever gave me as a gift)
Nick Bantock - Griffin and Sabine trilogy (it's just so pretty!)
Dean Alfar - The Kite of Stars and Other Stories (because of reasons~ ohgodimsovain)
Irving Stone - Lust for Life (because, Vincent Van Gogh.)

really? which ones? (or possibly I can guess which ones.)
does everyone else read everything anna says in this very elegant, ladylike accent like it comes from an old renaissance poem or a jane austen book
