I'm historically terrible at choosing doll names. I think I've been through 3 names already for my MerryDollRound Fang. But!!! I was taking some photos of her yesterday and I was hit with this sense of personality.

A young lady, grew up in the suburbs somewhere in like...Washington or Colorado. Not crazy wild, but not a star child either. Goes to parties but still studies. A 2010s Tumblr girl at heart who's in her 2nd year of college who THINKS she has the world figured out....she doesn't, but she thinks she does.

So, in the spirit of this, I'm tentatively calling her Indy. Its definitely not her legal name, but she definitely read a lot of John Green as a teenager and still lowkey has the whole "not like other girl" syndrome thing going on, so she chose to re invent herself once she moved for college.

She's home qwq... I was scared because she was sent from Spain right as de minimis was struck down and shipping to the US became a huge mess... but thankfully, she made it to me with no issues.

Sorbet is a Merry Doll Round Oni Mugi in kunzite resin with a custom faceup by the artist 💞

Merry Doll Round Fang - I still haven't decided on a name for her. She's been painted by the amazing Andy (Angel Toast Aesthetics).

'Falcon' kinda circles around as a possibility, but then I think it's too generic for such a soulful face.

She's paired with a Doll Family H 58cm girl body. Summer dress by dollsofmine on Etsy. ☺️

Did you scan Mugi in and send her off to the casters? I'm really excited to see her all done up with a cute faceup and in cute clothes!

Yes! Thanks for asking! I am going to use this question as an excuse for another photo dump of Mugi and Mei Mei, so here we go with 3/? post of their process!

So, I scanned all the pieces! All of them needed some extra work after being digitalized, because the scanner didn't have that much of resolution, so many small details were lost in the progress 🥲

Here you can see how see how all the fang details were lost, I had to re-sculpt them digitally, same with all the nails of hands and feet, and so on.

While I started printing all the pieces, I also sculpted from scratch digitally some of them.

Wirsts, elbow, thight and knee joints were done digitally!

It was a tedious work and I won't do it again because after sanding and priming the clay pieces, I had to print, and sand and prime all over again the resin parts, so it's been exhausting. But it allowed me to test the body posability way better that the clay original, since I could use thick strung elastics just as I would do with a regular resin doll without damaging the sculpt.

In addition, hands will be attached the same way as Fairyland hands (100% give them credit for that), that is a combination of magnets and a system of rotation that will keep the hands in place even If the magnets are not very strong.

Mei Mei head has been also digitalized and printed, so I will be sending them together to be casted.
