Crosswalk ││ Akane x Meru
When Akane saw the men hovering over the young teenage girl, she expected the following situation:
The girl would cower, whimpering and maybe screaming as the men began dragging her off into some shady alleyway. Akane, an Inspector who had been on patrol for the past few hours, would run towards them and take them down, of course scanning them cymatically before probably paralyzing them with a bullet. She would help the girl get back home safely, and give her a warning to stay off the streets at nighttime. It was what she almost always did with female citizens, as they were always more vulnerable, even with the improved system of judging stress levels and crime.
Of course, there was a severe plot twist to Akane's day. She raised her gun up, aiming at one of the bigger men. The mechanical voice spoke into her head as it always did. "Crime Coefficient 179. A target for reinforcement. Enforcement mode is Non-Lethal Paralyzer. Please aim carefully and take the subject into custody." She was about to pull the trigger when suddenly the little girl smiled. Taken aback by the gesture, Akane paused momentarily, hesitating with a small gasp. She watched as the younger girl grabbed the arm of the man and flipped him over her petite frame, knocking him down hard onto the ground. Akane stood, dumbfounded like the other offenders and only stared as the girl punched another man in the stomach, making him fall on his knees. Akane quickly recuperated and shot both of the other men standing around her with the Non-Lethal Paralyzer, making sure they were both down before running over to the ravenette.
"Come on. Let's go!" Akane grabbed the girl's wrist and began dashing towards a more public area, not bothering to take care of the four men lying on the ground. Another Inspector would probably go and find them anyways. She kept running, black heels clicking against the pavement as she guided the high school student through the city, Dominator in her other hand.
