"Please, Erwin caught himself thinking, take it. Trust me that I won’t hurt you for I trust you that you won’t. Just please… take my hand. Become the first thing that I’ll manage to hold onto."

Erwin is utterly and irreversibly lost at this point :,))
Baby's first mermay and honestly idk what I did with this that it turned out as it did
“You have the salt of the seven seas on your tongue,” the Siren breathes out in awe. What must have been his gills fluttering against the sides of his chest. Levi tries to kick and wriggle his way out from underneath the Siren. “Get off of me!!” Frowning now, the Siren holds a look of confusion on his sculpted features. “Oh little one,” there is pity in his tone. Levi loathes pity. “How lost have you become?” “The hell are you talking about?!” Levi shouts. The Siren finally, blessedly, sits back in the small dinghy – seeming to appraise Levi more fully now. “My spell didn’t work on you. You know our songs. And you have our chorus in your throat. You’re clearly a lost one.” Sitting up, Levi pushes himself as far away from the Siren as possible. The words leech the fight from his core. Leaving nothing but exhaustion, grief, and confusion in its wake for Levi. “None of what you’re saying makes any sense,” Levi confesses from behind a fringe of damp locks. Shoulders slumping, the Siren sighs and looks out at the rippingly waves that are gently swaying the boat. “Don’t go anywhere, I’ll be back with answers,” the Siren promises before hoisting himself back into the water without preamble. “Hey!” Levi shouts, suddenly lunging after the Siren. He’s too slow, however, and by the time he reaches the opposite edge of the dinghy where the mysterious creature had been sitting, there isn’t a trace of him left. “By Poisiden… What just happened?”
You may feel compelled to clutch your pearls after reading just the tags one. I may have let the spirit of MerMay guide me a little too freely.

Bottom Erwin Week 2019, Day 5., Bathing
"This Levi - weightless, radiant, still - was nothing like the sharp, wary creature who surfaced in silence and threat, different from the sharp, cautious figure who circled him, staring with narrowed suspicion. Down here, bathed in the stillness of his element, he looked transcendental. Not a warning in the dark, but something luminous and ancient, shaped by currents. And solitude."
