how did we miss microraptor day...
well, regardless, have some funny looking birds, feat. a more recent pic titled “little guy conference” , in which there are little guys and they are having a conference

OK?#ummm. other notes:#our sinosauropteryx texture isnt complete yet - at the time we were just really eager to get a picture of it#so we made this little scene#it's complete enough to look alright in pictures and thats what matters#also our microraptor is slightly sexually dimorphic!#the males have longer display feathers on their tails than the females do#i think the one in the Little Guy Conference is a male#also all the little guys are to scale. but it was completely accidental#they were all so small that we had to model them larger than their IRL size#and coincidentally they all came out around 3x their actual size. so theyre all more or less correctly scaled to eachother#i just think thats neat.
