MEME: send me a number : still accepting
What type of discipline was your character subjected to at home? Strict? Lenient?
Ajax was born the heir of Salamis and to a line descended from Zeus. He was literally blessed by Zeus via Hercules at his birth and named the ‘son Telamon always wished for.’ Ajax was basically spoiled from birth. His kingdom was small, though, so it wasn’t as though EVERYTHING was handed to him. He still learned the value of working and earning, but there was definitely little in the way of truly strict parenting. He was the golden son ( and golden Greek, before Achilles ).
What were the most deeply impressive political or social, national or international, events that they experienced?
-hollow laughter- Idk man. Does the Battle of Troy count as a deeply impressive international political event? Through out the years, he’s lived through a few other major events as well, more wars, depressions, revolutions, etc. In most lives he’s been a Greek, but he’s also been born on foreign soil a few times ( still to Greek parents ) and seen some shit. Modern era he’s dealing with the fact Greece is collapsing economically and that even as Ajax the Great, there’s nothing he can do about it to protect his homeland. He still owns property there, still has family he sends money to, but he generally lives in America these days ( once again trapped on foreign shores ).
Is your character aware of who they are? Strengths? Weaknesses? Idiosyncrasies? Capable of self-irony?
After several lifetimes and the retention of those memories, you gain a certain level of self-awareness. He knows envy and pride are his biggest faults, it disgusts him when he realizes that somehow every death he’s faced has been in part because of envy or pride. He’s aware, but he’s not above them. He tries to be, but at this point it’s so ingrained into his soul, he doubts the gods would let him live any other life.
