Hypocrisy #2

Why is it the first lesson learned was finely tuned hypocrisy? Being one split into two parts: outside appearance vs.  Inside truth.  We focused on shining the face, framing words, carefully controlling our doings, so we flowed seamlessly into the automaton lines.

At home, shedding skin, we revealed our ugly humanity.  Sliding off false faces, dropping Christian coats, our scales and claws freely skittering across rotten foundations.

No wonder I couldn't look into a mirror. My reflection showed nothing. Could I be one with two living inside?
