TOO HYPE FOR EL CLASICO TOMORROW!!!
The Guy Who Makes Me Cry
Leo Messi makes me cry--all the time. He also makes me happy and excited to the highest of possible levels. He makes me feel feelings I never knew I could have. I'm not exaggerating! I'm so glad I started watching him two years ago. Some of my friends probably already know, and might be tired of me saying this, that Leo Messi is the love of my life--atleast for the past two years. I fell in-love with how he plays the beautiful game. And if there's a role model for people who loves to watch football, it should be Leo--the best player of this generation. And in my opinion, the greatest of all time. Since 2007, he's been in the top three of the FIFA Ballon D'Or award, or the best player of the world award. He's won it a record four times consecutively since 2009. Leo, who hails from Argentina and grew up in Spain, doesn't only win awards and break records (he has a lot, like A LOT) he also easily wins people's hearts because he's a wonderful human being. Passionate, humble, and loving to his family, fans and teams. The poster boy of football and a legend who's entertaining and captivating audiences around the world from a very young age. Unfortunately, he's been bothered by injuries from the end of the 2012-2013 season and was sidelined for nine games starting last November--the longest he's been out because of injuries for the past seven years. It was really hard for me to watch Barca's games without him, and don't get me wrong--I love Barca! It's just isn't the same without Leo. But thankfully, after a much needed rest, he's back in blazing form last night--scoring a brace against Getafe at the Copa Del Rey. You can hear in the video below how Camp Nou burst with elation when he came on--anticipating the comeback of a legend. My heart was thumping inside my chest in the moments before he replaced Maestro Iniesta. I was so happy that I had to write about him properly. Tweets were not enough (even after flooding my timeline).
Highlights of Leo's game against Getafe
I can't wait to see him perform football magic against the best European teams in the Champions Leage and Liga. And after six months, in the World Cup stage. Welcome back, Leo love! Please, for the sake of millions of fans who adore you, don't let yourself get injured again. We can't deal with that. But I will always love you, even if you make me cry all the time. (;
