How do you feel about Ferran's transfer ?. When everyone is mourning fedri I'm here thinking how tgere would be no longer ferrfer content. Gonna miss seeing them together.
yeahh im gonna miss the total of 10min of content they gave us, but oh well.
I have genuinely nothing to say ab his transfer, some things are inevitable. But what DID piss me off, was the “show me they love me”…bitch, dont even get me started they have showed u more than enough love and if not its cause it goes both ways and above all, its business.
U perform and give ur all and the rest is done, take ur closest friends Eric n Pedri as an example, they don’t demand shit and above all, who can demand anything from Barça?
i didnt mean to get this serious😭damn
❌ unshaved
❌ unmoisturised
✅ thriving

Mmm okay I can see that! Sorry if I misunderstood you earlier idk maybe I'm giving him too much grace but I remember him saying he wasn't going to make any decision during the WC to focus on the NT games but given his Ibiza holiday and US trip it really didn't seem like he was prioritizing Barca so I get you.
Yeah that's what bugs me a little, despite all the new perspectives I've acquired in the last asks, despite everything that part feels a bit off to me 😞
I’m saying this while putting all the political stuff around Ferran aside and trying to be as fair as possible as a Barca fan and as someone who used to support him.
I think you’re overlooking one thing though: not everything he said to the media is necessarily something he also told the club. It’s not like Barça would just think, “Okay, Ferran told a journalist that PSG’s offer isn’t important to him, so that must be true” and obviously there haven’t been any conversations happening behind the scenes.
Unlike you, I don’t think Flick ever really counted on Ferran that much. I mean the fact that even Christensen got his contract renewed before Ferran says a lot! There were literally days when everyone was waiting for some news about Ferran’s renewal and nothing was happening, while Barça was bringing in more and more wingers. And obviously, that’s completely within the club’s rights, but saying that Barça wanted Ferran and he simply turned them down doesn’t really feel fair to me.
And if I put myself in his shoes, after everything that’s happened and after the last two seasons (which despite his drop in performance, were still pretty good seasons for him) I’d probably want to feel more appreciated too. Not necessarily through some huge salary increase (we still don’t even know what the situation at PSG is like), but at least through more support from the club.
I really don’t think this had anything to do with the goal he scored in the final. If anything, I think Ferran had already made up his mind before that. Otherwise maybe like he’d done before, he would’ve told the journalists that Barça was happy with him and that he wasn’t thinking about leaving.
As for the negotiations he had, honestly I think the club messed up by giving the impression that Ferran was basically available. If they actually wanted to keep him (which, personally, I don’t think they did) they should’ve made more of an effort to keep him. That’s on them.
I still agree with you all, though. He could’ve left in a much more appropriate way.
And at the end of the day, this is literally their job. That alone says a lot.
Of course! When I speak about this topic I do not keep in mind Ferran's political controversy because we are talking about him as a professional and about his job, and I also as someone who used to defend him and a Barça fan think it's necessary to separate work and personal life at least in these cases and discussions.
For the first point I personally think Flick was interested! However he doesn't decide who stays and who doesn't, right? At least what I understood was that coaches give opinions, have a plan, and recommend decisions but they are not decisive at all and he can't determine what the team does; especially if they or Deco have other options in mind and the player wants to leave. And I totally get it, it's unfair to expect him to have infinite patience but it's also true that it's false that the team wasn't interested at all especially if they have been trying to be in contact with you and reach for an agreement; I think here enters his emotions as a human being, he doesn't feel wanted because he's not the first option but it's not entirely true that the team doesn't count on him by any means. However I understand and watched it from that point of view the situation changes quite a lot.
And for the last points I have to say that I didn't considered them and that they make 100% of sense, they should have been more careful. However it's true that they might have wanted him but thought what Ferran was asking for was too much, which is also valid. What's a bit dumb it's true it's giving the impression that he was available in such an open way, I totally agree with you.
Thank you for your perspective, it really helps me learn about these parts of football 🩷

Sorry this makes no sense to me. Sure he could've handled his exit with more grace but PSG has been showing interest in him for months and his negotiations w Barca were unsuccessful from the start. Barca had ample notice and they brought in Gordon and Adeyemi as wingers to fill his usual no. 7 winger position. They should've been in the market for a striker seriously instead of relying on a player they hadn't even renewed. While he didn't leave on the best terms Barca being left w out a striker is no one's fault but their own for pining after Julian when Athletico has never shown any intention of selling him.
Oh sorry! I don't think I was clear hahaha. Yeah I don't think he in purpose left Barça without a striker but I feel his intentions and negociations were treated behind Barça's back.
Of course PSG had been showing interest and Barça tried to give him new conditions that didn't convinced him but, the normality of it changes when he deliberately said he didn't know anything and didn't care about PSGs interest, implying he was interested in renewing with Barça and giving fake expectations to the team while knowing perfectly fine that he was leaving + not showing interest in the team and not being honest + saying the team didn't show interest or that they wanted him knowing it was a lie and knowing the negotiations between him and Barça wouldn't work because he knew from a start he wanted to leave, something he never expressed openly and sincerely because Eric, Flick, and the whole team were convinced he would stay.
I don't know if I'm explaining myself properly but I understand your point. And I totally agree about that striker part; Barça would have needed a striker even if Ferran stayed so yeah, the club should have been smarter and should have searched for more options from a start, now we need two strikers and have none which makes me so nervous hahahaha
But I totally understand your point! I just feel Ferran wasn't that genuine and innocent with his intentions and he miscommunicated in purpose with the team
