It was that FEAR of humans that had caused her to deviate, it was a fear that she might be deactivated if she let slip what she was. Fear all around and what imprisoned her even if some was quite absurd in some areas. But it was the sight on the television, of Markus and the others leading a battle to free the androids that had given her some form of COURAGE. Courage enough to leave the home she had been kept in for so long and walk through the snow without so much as bothering to put on shoes. The cold didn’t affect androids anyways unless it was call enough to damage biocomponents. It was just enough to leave Elijah and instead stand beside Markus. Even though her capabilities were inferior, no fighting programming to speak of and far more BRITTLE, that didn’t matter.

It was something different than where she had found herself, staring out at the world from floor length windows and keeping on that facade for so many years. It was something MORE and a change Chloe desperately needed. Even if his attempts would lead to more turning against androids, it was a start.

Sera didn’t even glance at the android speaking to her, instead looking over the other androids that had joined them upon the freighter. It was a steady growth but far greater than she had seen in her two years there. Jericho, where once they were few and many so damaged, were now GROWING and it was causing Sera a touch of unease about the whole situation. Tensions were growing between androids and humans with every stride made and from what she had seen had caused more to ABUSE the androids in their fear. It only made her want to lash out all the more, to make them PAY for all they had done. But she withheld for the moment if only for the sake of certain other members. She could only imagine what Josh or Simon might say.

Taking ORDERS is what I do best and I follow them.   ❞   After all, there was a reason even with her own expertise as survival she had never sought a leadership role. And it wasn’t from her role as a compliant android like many others but her role as a SOLDIER instead. Two different parts propelled towards the same purpose.   ❝    It doesn’t matter how troubled I am. But let me be the first to suggest that if you got a loaded gun in your back pocket like me, you should put it to good use instead of letting it collect DUST.   ❞

          All too late Selina heard the footsteps headed their way.  Normally she was more observant.  But, today, Bruce had hit a nerve.  He hadn’t meant to.  Hell, if Selina hadn’t been trying to play a harmless prank she never would’ve heard the conversation between he and his butler.

          Meeting Markus had evoked something inside her that hadn’t stirred since the loss of Lola McIntire.  Since her best friend’s death the Cat held everyone at arm’s length.  Two, whenever possible.  The current exception being Mr. Wayne.  Even then, Selina wasn’t sure why she let the billionaire get under her skin.  With her rage came a number of questions all over again.  The man had a good heart, if not the best heart in all of Gotham.  Unfortunately for his makeshift family, the Bat didn’t always know how to show it properly.  He pushed too far.  Too hard.  Everytime she witnessed it she was taken back to her time in Oliver’s.

          “ Just a discussion between friends, “ Selina tried to tack on a reassuring smile.  With any luck Markus was nowhere near when Bruce used the word ‘ it. ‘  A reference that set her off several times before.  Her hands smooth out invisible wrinkles in the fabric covering her torso.  She decides to take the distraction as the blessing it was and offers Bruce more of her back.  “ How are you?  It’s been a while. “
