When Selina was young she was placed in a group home because her father was tossed in jail. But, she was young enough that she never remembered who he was. Let alone what he did.

In the group home she learned how to steal. It was how she survived. Mrs. Oliver made all her children steal in order to make the house money. Those who failed suffered a number of consequences until they found themselves in her good graces once again. But, it was this line of work that showed Selina that there were things that went bump in the night. That it wasn’t just her imagination. As much as it scared her, she also learned that the occult was a very lucrative business despite the number of people who actually believed.

She built her clientele. She built her reputation. If anyone wants something rare from the occult world they know to seek out Catwoman.

“ i don’t think he trusts me. ” confession. offering spoken ‘pon a heavy breath carelessly mumbled to absolve him of the sin which had found it’s way into his systems; greed. desire. to be wanted, to be seen as more than what he was; a machine. a machine infected with this longing to want more from the man who had pulled him from the rubble but he did not deserve such things. sentiment needed to be purged from his coding & perhaps she, a thief, could pilfer such a thing & rid him of it’s filth so he might be nothing more than a tool, a weapon, to be used as the batman saw fit. gaze shifted, apprehensive, to her form.

“ maybe he would if i could just…stop. ” a plea, shrouded in a promise, parted desperate lips. he needed absolution, he needed her to tell him that he should stop feeling. stop feeling. stop being alive.

He had gone through so many beautiful transformations and Selina counted herself lucky that she’d been lucky enough to watch at least some of them. No matter how many times Bruce insisted Markus was simply an it she saw the truth. She saw the light. More importantly, she saw the desire to be alive.

And that’s exactly what he was.

A is a superhero that happens to be an alien, and after saving a civilian from a major accident, B, they give a blood transfusion as their alter ego and it gives B their powers by accident. BONUS: A and B know each other in some fashion DOUBLE BONUS: Are frienemies/dislike each other

A and B are best friends/roommates as their alter egos, not knowing the other is a superhero and taking care of each other’s bruises and scrapes. BONUS: One is not a superhero but actually a supervillain DOUBLE BONUS: One finds out about the other’s secret identity DOUBLE-DOUBLE BONUS: A and B are dating

A is a reporter and thinks they know the secret identity of the City’s superhero, C, and is avidly telling B all their theories. Little do they know that the superhero actually B, hiding under their nose the whole time as their assistant. BONUS: B has to save A by telling them who they are and has to trust A will keep their secret. DOUBLE BONUS: A tells accidentally/on purpose and B has to deal with the consequences.
