messy AKA creative genius

I love organizing. I love putting everything in its place, and if it doesnt have a place I make a place for it. I like a clean house and I try my best to keep it that way.

But for some reason my desk seems to have a mind of its own, breaks all rules and does not care what I like or what I wish for. Then I learned of a test that was done to show that messiness was linked to creativity, and being a graphic designer, I started to embrace the mess. I found that it is true, my ideas seem to flow much better by the messiness of my desk. When looking further into the messy desk theory I learned that Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Mark Twain and Francis Bacon all had messy and disorganized work spaces. Of course this could be all a coincidence... but if you are having troubles getting your creativity flowing then I suggest to give it a try. Go ahead.. mess up your desk.
