Now that Hannibal is over and there isn't any content left to write meta on, save for a couple repititious conversations you said that you basically don't really respect, have you thought of moving onto something else or retiring as meta writer? If only to get distance?
Anxious to get rid of me? ;-)
I have moved on--I’ve written very little meta lately--mostly to writing fic and doing fan art, though I have a number of gifsets stored in my brain that I want to do (and those will tend toward the meta-ish). I’m still keeping the blog Hannibal-centric (cast and crew) and I imagine that I’ll do a handful of meta posts about various projects the actors do, just as I always have kind of meta’d about this or that as things have come up. When I get American Gods finally, I expect I’ll have stuff to say (because you know that’s going to have some depth and be worth writing about).
I’ll definitely continue to write meta as I see things that intrigue me, or I get asks (I have a couple I’m getting around to soon, I promise), and I like writing headcanons still. I also have a few things in my head that I haven’t written about that I might get around to.
My move from meta to another form has kept my interest in the show alive, which is a good thing for a long heateus, and I definitely intend to be here to rally the troops at the beginning of next year for a major push to have Netflix or Hulu or whoever pick up Hannibal when the rights come available in August of 2017 (along with a steady push at all times, ofc).
