This was the sketchbook and final pieces of my Urban Garden project. I spent so much time making things, as I didn’t know what sketchbook work to do and was at a point where I wasn’t happy with most of my work, so my teacher told me to start a brand new sketchbook three days before the exam, and with 23 pages, I achieved 93% on my exam. I experimented with different drawing and painting styles, looking at artists such as Tony Bevan, Mondrian and Graham Sutherland, as well as trying out new materials, using marbling inks to create interesting patterns to draw on, cut out, and my favourite technique from this project, using bleach on ink. I used this for my final pieces, with one on canvas and one on paper.
