Fucking christ there was a similar thing in France called Vie de Merde (Shit Life) where people would post shitty things that happened to them and everything there was Just fucking lies. People could grade the posts as either 'vdm (real shit life)' or 'you deserved that one.' One day in a drunken stupor i stumbled upon the Christian version of this site called 'vie de grâce' (grace filled life) and it was just super religious people posting things that happened to them.
There was a direct counterpart to this that was the exact same format as MLIA called “FML” (Fuck My Life) where people posted shitty things that happened to them that were also highly exaggerated/fake lmao
