Merry christmas, dear sunflowerkru and to all of you, my appreciated followers!

It has been a tough year. With the death of my best friends mom as well as the deadly cancer diagnosis of my own father in these past weeks alone, i hardly know how to keep being positive these days... but i have so many hopes and wishes for the upcoming new year (and i stubbornly hold on to decorating my own christmas tree...). Dear 2026, please be kinder to all of us. I am so very tired.

Please stay safe, fam. And healthy. To all of you some beautiful, peaceful holidays. Hold your loved ones tight. Appreciate the time together. It's so precious. And it's desperately missed when it's gone. Love you all🫶🏻

Happy Wednesday, Bellarke family!

It seems the tradition of weekly posts is in danger, but I hope it survives.

How are you all doing?

Spring has come and the weather is much nicer, but still changeable. Aside from the usual all year long disease of nomoneynitis, very common in this country, I'm fine, and my pets are well, the dogs enjoying walks in lovely sunny weather..excerpt on the days when rain comes back.

The news from our northern neighbour are encouraging. If Orban is finally finished, maybe Vučić days are numbered too. Although he is worse and will probably hold on to power more desperately and violently.

A couple of weeks ago (30th March) was the 11th anniversary of me adopting Charie after funding him as an abandoned 2 months old puppy in the park. About 10 days earlier, he won the 2nd place in a competition for the loveliest mixed breed dog. This is the first time I enrolled him into something like this, but I knew his natural charm and cuteness would not go unnoticed. Aside from this certificate, he won a sizable bag of dig food and a 20% discount in a pet shop.

Happy Wednesday, dear bellarke fam!

How is everyone doing? I've been feeling a little under the weather for the past few days, but even so I ventured outside yesterday to go to the yearly sale at my favourite bookstore. The genres they sell are mainly fantasy, science fiction and graphic novels, and they have a lot of boardgames and merch as well. Only came back with 3 books this time around, but it's always fun to take a peek at what they have to offer.

In other news, I finally found and internship and am currently "working" remotely for a company that are busy making their first game. The people there seem very nice and relaxed, so I'm very relieved.

Good evening everyone, and happy last BFSN of 2024!

I'm currently getting ready for New Year's Eve, and thought I'd take a few minutes to kick off this last ritual of the year.

And I'm posting an image sent to me by my friend who moved to the South of France, near Perpignan, a few months ago, and who I miss very much. In Paris, the weather is sad and gray, so this image gives a little hope for the coming year: a clear, bright sky, full of promise... Because what we really need is positivity and hope. So I wish you all the best for the New Year, and remember that you've just come through this one! Let's find the strength to face the next one.

I actually have something to post, and there's a really good reason why. Last week Friday, my friend and I went to a Cigarettes After Sex concert. I was the one who wanted to go ~ my friend is just happy to try new things (isn't it great to have people like that in your life?).

Aside from how incredible the band was, how I learnt about them is straight out of tumblr. I became obsessed with a particular fanfic, and attached to this fic was an entire Spotify playlist. This playlist opened my mind to incredible new music, and this band was one of the many I discovered as a result.
