"Ugh, I give up!"
The agitated cry left Jillian, as she tossed away the blouse, a look of disgust on her face. The damnable blackberry juice stain sat in the middle of the sleeve, a quarter-sized insult against the otherwise pristine cream fabric.
The piece of clothing had been a project she'd continued to work at for years, forgetting for months and then returning to it when she had nothing else going on and needed an outlet for frustration. But no matter what method she threw at it, what detergent or home remedy, she could do nothing to get the shirt clean.
And today, she'd finally had enough. Snatching the shirt back, Jillian walked to the kitchen and made quick work of chopping any useful chunks of fabric from it for the rag bag and removing the buttons for the button jar, the leftovers tossed into a bin for use making firestarters.
(She'd lived through the Great Depression- waste not want not!)
And as she liked to keep her clothes ready in rotation, that left only one thing to do.
Time to go shopping for a replacement, and maybe a couple new things. She worked hard, might as well treat herself!

At the department store, Jillian let out a hum as she ran her fingers along the soft fabric of the potential replacement blouse. The fabric wasn't as high quality and was over double the price of her last one, but it was an unfortunate fact that even in Hell, one couldn't escape inflation and the ever degrading of quality of goods despite sky rising prices.
So, she placed it into her basket alongside a new pair of overalls, some new undergarments and a couple new pairs of dress pants.
As she was heading towards the accessory section, to see if there were any good belts, she couldn't help noticing a rather familiar blonde sinner.
That normally wouldn't be overly odd, but seeing him in the ladies section, with what was clearly a couple skirts in his collection of potential purchases was a little surprising.
Huh- she didn't expect that. But then again, she supposed it wouldn't be overly surprising that a man who wanted to wear women's skin might also enjoy women's clothing.
And clothing was a much healthier medium for expressing himself than human pelting, so that was a major plus!
And so, since she was rather bored and curious to see what the cagey sinner was up to, Jillian made her way up to the other, making sure to stay a good few feet away before speaking.
"Didn' expect to see ya out today."
Her tone was fairly innocent and so was her smile, though her eyes still help that sharp and knowing look.
"You doin' a clothin' run too?" Jillian asked, nodding her head in the direction of his items.
"Oooh, I like the color on that skirt. It'll go nice with ya fur." She said, tone entirely unjudgmental.
She didn't like Jame for reasons she felt quite valid, but she could appreciate a good eye for clothes when she saw it.
