A girl who destroyed the world around her by accident, and hasn't forgiven herself for it.

Working on and learning about has been really interesting and fun! Her story feels really emotional and human. I've loved getting to explore the themes and message behind her her character!

Lore: (TW: attempted s**cide)

In an AU named BubbleTale, the underground had existed long before the war happened. But it was empty, and hidden within the Ruins was a vault containing physical manifestations of monster's memories.

Whenever a monster expirenced a strong emotion, that memory would form into a bubble. If one of those bubbles were to be destroyed, the monster would permanently lose the memory connected to it.

One day, a human girl named Cassie claimed Mount Ebott intending to end her own life, but she survived the fall.

While exploring the Ruins, she discovered the memory vault. And out of curiosity, she picked up one of the bubbles. And accidentally broke it.

The monsters believed humans had intentionally attacked the vault, spreading fear and panic. Eventually leading to the war.

Meanwhile, Cassie remained Underground. By the time she attempted to leave, she saw the destruction caused by her actions and chose to stay and hide.

Later, after the monsters had been sealed Underground, Cassie accidentally came into contact with an expirmental substance near the lab in an attempt to leave again. It altered her her soul, slowly transforming her into a shadow-like being trapped somewhere between human and monster.

Now unable to fully belong to either world, she crafted a device to leave her au, scared to cause further damage.

Now:

In Metanoia, Cassie's story focuses on guilt, isolation, and learning how to live with the guilt of her mistakes.

She's a best friend to the main protagonist of season one, Rose. And together, they help forma team working to help less fortunate AUs in need.

But things start to take a turn for worse, and their situation turns from freeing to desperate. Leaving Cassie to face her fears and struggles head-on, rather than running away again.

Somnus

A vessel was overtaken by something that was never intended to exist with him.

Somnus is a Nightmare variant, and working with a character like this has been incredibly fun. His design and lore draw so much from mythology. I've always loved characters like this, so getting the chance to write one myself has been amazing.

Lore:

From the moment he was created, Somnus was cursed with bad luck. Wherever he went, something went wrong. Still, his brother stayed by his side, unbothered by any of it.

But everything changed with their first encounter with humans. After seeing his curse for themselves, the villagers grew paranoid that Somnus would curse them with it. So they thought to kill him before he could.

Somus barely made it back to the Mother Tree, and in his desperate state, he ate an apple, hoping it would save him. After he did, negativity flooded over his body, overwhelming everything he was. It all caused him to fall into a deep sleep.

When he woke up, he was no longer alone on his body. A parasite had taken hold of him, a being of pure terror and negativity, named Night.

Now:

In Metanoia, Somnus acts as one of the main antagonists, a character who only seeks destruction. The real him is trapped under a surface, forced to view everything, but unable to stop it.

On a rare occasion, he manages to break through, though it's only for moments at a time.

Meanwhile, Night continues to move freely, using Somnus's body as nothing more than a tool. He works alongside Osteiel in pursuit of control over the multiverse, though his goals are entirely his own. He will do whatever it takes.

Metanoia

Welcome to Metanoia, a story I'm working on being an animatic style web series! Formed after my love for Undertale and its AUs, this story follows my friend's and my characters as they build a world together by learning, fighting, and figuring out their place in a universe that doesn't always make sense.

Rose

This lovely lady is the main character of the first part of Metanoia!

I spent a lot of time on her story and development. There's still work to be done, but I am more than pleased with how it's turned out.

Her original idea stemmed from me wanting a rewrite of the Canon LustTale, I don't support the original work or the creator, but I found so much wasted potential in the concept and wanted more from it. It wasn't long before I took matters into my own hands, and Rose soon became her own character outside of being a rewrite.

Lore: (TW for mentions of abuse and near fatal injuries)

Rose is a lust Sans variant who lived a very harsh life on her AU. She was the royal judge who was severely overworked and mistreated by the king and other royal officials. The only reason she had stayed for as long as she did was to provide for her younger brother, Papyrus.

Tragically, however, after a horrible injury inflicted by her boss, Rose had no choice but to gamble on a slim chance of escape so she could survive. She fled to her home and escaped through the machine in the basement.

Rose ended up in an empty AU and was found soon after by another multiverse inhabitant.

Now:

Rose's story in Metanoia is about settling with her past and what she lived through with the help of those around her. She takes a more active part in her own story and tries to do good by her own views.
