LN goes against what I think he's always wanted emotionally. I think his brain strives for big ambitious places and cities but his heart wants domesticity. El rapids was sort of a medium-- a place he was proud of but also a small and cozy home. el rapids is too flashy for that sense of calm, there's something terminally unsettling about it. sometimes he wakes up with migraines from the lights blaring through his windows, and no matter what types of blackout curtains he uses, it seems like it can never fully get rid of the burning behind his eyes.
