Metcalf Internship Feature: Morningstar, Inc.

Morningstar, Inc. is a global financial services firm headquartered in Chicago and founded by Joe Mansueto, AB '78, MBA '80. Morningstar has a range of products and services available to clients, from investment management to credit ratings. However, Morningstar is most well-known for its research and recommendations, which has considerable influence on the investing industry. Morningstar has 27 offices and over 4,500 employees. UChicago students have the opportunity to intern at Morningstar through the Metcalf Internship Program.

Metcalf Internship Feature: Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1891 by Theodore Thomas, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) plays at the 2,522 seat Orchestra Hall in downtown Chicago’s Symphony Center. The CSO performs over 100 times each year, both at Orchestra Hall and at the Ravinia Festival during the summer. The Chicago Symphony Orchestra is commonly hailed as one of the “Big Five” of symphony orchestras in the United States, alongside the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, and Cleveland Orchestra. UChicago students have the opportunity to intern at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra through the Metcalf Internship Program.
