“reality is the last place any of us wants to be,” j.d. responds easily, taking a pointedly large drink of his blue slushie. “why do you think so many of our nation’s youth are on drugs?” and now he’s grinning like he knows a secret, grinning as if he’s been let it on something that no one else has. and that’s just the way he is, just the way he sees things. he feels as if he’s untapped some solution that no one else has. anarchy, he’s found, is absolutely liberating, and if people weren’t so brainwashed to follow along with society or drug themselves until they no longer have to worry about it, they could actually do something about it.
“so... what are you going to do about it?” he asks, and now his smile is pointed toward them as he leans back in his seat, relaxed and curious.
