This was strange. The person lying next to you wasn’t your cute celestial, this wasn’t your adorable boyfriend who was overwhelmingly sweet and smiley that you couldn’t help but feel flustered. And now he had you pinned, glare harsher than anything you’d seen on the so familiar face. Where was Aster? Is this what he’d warned you about? The man who he never spoke about beyond warnings, the man who he promised would never reach you.
Was it all a lie...?
“So...” The husky sound, the gravely tone, it was enough to make you shiver. “Aster was keeping you a secret...” His smile was so sinister, his gaze made you feel so revealed, as if he knew every emotion going through your veins. “You look good enough to devour~”
You wanted to run, to shake off the hand that held your chin, to look away from those mismatched eyes that you so desperately loved. No. These weren’t his eyes, these were the eyes of a monster, not the person you adored, not the Aster you cared for.
As if sensing your fear, an empty sound filled the silence, laugh hollow and far. His grip continuing to tighten, knuckles turning pale as you continued to clutch onto the sheets beneath you, tears beginning to brim at your lashes. You wanted your star, you wanted the warm arms to shield you, wanted the carefully painted nails to wipe away any drops of the salty tears.
“Ah... That’s the face I was hoping for, Such a good girl for me, huh? I should’ve taken over earlier, and I would’ve if I knew this is what was waiting.”
His lips were rough, not the soft and gentle pecks you were used to, his grin was malicious and the life behind his eyes felt too clear. Even if they shared a body, this wasn’t the celestial being you fell in love with, nor was it the one you laid to rest with at the end of every night.
All you could hope for was your beloved star to return, to push away the monster that was only now controlling him...
