1/3 Bike2Emmys

Last Sunday we biked to the Emmys with Mad Men writer/producer, Emmy nominee, and bike commuter Tom Smuts!  Despite the 100 degree heat, we biked 20 miles from Santa Monica to the Emmys red carpet at Microsoft Theater to show that it it possible to bike in LA.  And look stylish while doing so!

Traffic Jam: Day Two

Like sand through an hour glass, so are the rides of our lives, slow, jammed packed and full of comical errors. For a large transit system, Metro still has alot to learn about contingency plans, but I honestly believe they are doing all they can. The best part of this horrendous ordeal has been the people you get to meet, I mean you have to they are literally sitting on your lap, as there is no room for people these days on the train. Today best was a lady who openly told every Dodgers' fan on the train that they "sucked and that it was just a fluke!" Nobody thankfully seemed to take offense, but when she got to me and told me "You know the Dodgers suck!" I responded with a "Yeah, that's why I'm a Giants fan!" She smiled and said, "Good for you! I'm a Red Sox Fan myself." We ended up having a nice conversation after that about garlic fries and vegan hotdogs. Thanks Metro for creating this moment. Now about the seats....
