Apainting that i had plans with, it's Metro Exodus, Sam's story in Vladivostok specifically. Wanted to add a Sam with his harmonica and more story to it but i guess i ran out of steam. It was also sort of a study, because it's directly referenced from a screenshot, therefore there isn't really any original invention from my part. And since it's been ages since i did it, i now know i could make it a lot more better looking and faster nowadays than back then. Maybe i'll get back to it sometimes maybe? Probably not, but i still don't dislike it enough to let it just rot on my harddrive. Also i def learned a thing ot two here

In continuation of my last post about Sam’s dumbass one-liners (I love them so much), here’s a list of all the ones I’ve heard so far. If you have favorites that aren’t on this list feel free to let me know 🫡.

First of all, the entire fight scene between Tom’s guys and Sam right in the beginning of the DLC? Just him throwing out insults and expletives every two seconds while fighting for his life is so America-core I love that for him.

The bit at the theatre/bandit base:

“Too much TV is bad for your eyes.” ☝️🤓

Then he grabs the ONLY tape with an American flag printed on it and shoves it into the tape player and says “How about something educational for a change?”

When Stealthily knocking out an enemy:

“Lights out”

“Sleep tight”

He also just shushes them? Lmao

Confrontationally knocking out an enemy:

“Jaw, meet knuckles!” I has to pause the game for a second and take a breath cause of how dumb that one was 😭

Kicking open doors:

“Open sesame!”

“Knock knock!”

Also any time he picks anything useful up and sometimes speaks a different language. In the English dub he speaks Russian and I think I’m the Russian dub it’s the other way around.

(Btw I can’t stand to play Sam’s story in the Russian dub cause his voice actor is very obviously not American especially when he speaks English. It kinda breaks the immersion.)

On another Exodus run! just finished going through volga and this time managed to find the ammo pouch upgrade! (how i finished the game the first time without it is beyond me)

Having an absolute blast so far although not looking forward to Yamuntau ;_;

Folks I am almost through replaying all the metro games again and am currently playing Sam’s Story. Idk why I didn’t think about it much before but Sam is such a nerd?? He’s so goofy he has these little one-liners that sound so corny? I just kicked down a door as Sam and homie yelled “knock knock!” Like? He acts like he’s the main character in a cheesy American action movie what a guy.

He really just was like “I need to make this horrific situation jovial and make fun of it or I’m gonna dissolve from the inside out” and just ran with it huh
