The player must take control of a man known only as Runner, who is given a time limit to run through each of the game's thirty-two rounds while avoiding obstacles and collecting drink cans. Metro Cross headcanon

I bet Runner from the Namco game Metro-Cross DID get an iPhone as a Christmas present from Pac-Man. He’d probably use it all the time but he tripped the first couple of times he used it while running and had to replace the screen a few times:)
