About a week or two ago, I had finally beaten Metroid 2: Return of Samus on GameBoy. It was such an amazing game. The feeling of dread and isolation you get while hunting Metroids on planet SR388 was unlike any other experience. Which brings us to piece #21, "Meat-roid Popsicle". Before facing off against the Metroid Queen, you are confronted by a gang of Metroids. Only way to defeat them is to freeze them with the ice beam and blow them up with some missiles. I really liked the color scheme of the frozen Metroid. Thought it would look awesome in a blacklight painting. Mind you, these colors are from the Super Gameboy or Gameboy Color filter. Thus, this was my choice for the color scheme of the painting.

I remember as a 6 year old kid being unable to beat the first boss Metroid in Metroid 2 because I got so freaked out with the music that I would run away from it hoping to find another path.
