vi o la suit samus is FINISHED!!! just in time before the new year

mechanical art is not my forte so a lot of it was HEAVILY referenced, especially the lighting on the arm cannon and the pose itself but im pretty happy with how this turned out

im really grateful that we got a new metroid prime game even if it had a couple of flaws so heres something to show my appreciation for it

and heres a w/o bg version too

Once I made one... well, why not make all the others?

This project turned out to be a bit trickier than I'd hoped. I had the in-game model as a reference, but after I'd finished modeling all twelve beams, I compared my first print to my Figma, and found their proportions to be completely different. I don't know if the file I was using was wrong or whether Figma altered the design for their version (probably the latter) but I ended up having to start over from scratch.

Fortunately, the second attempt came out a lot better.

The MP1 Phazon Beam is printed in clear and painted transparent blue, so that the light can catch the inside and light it up a tiny bit.
