✨✨𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐎𝐍 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒✨✨ I have a lot of thoughts on this design (I can break that down in another post), but I’m SO HAPPY to have it done and to have been able to get some nice photos on what was most likely the last “warm” day of the year!! Obviously I’ve shot quite a few of my makes in this location, which I was kind of hoping to avoid but OH WELL.

This took me almost a year from initial sketches to final product, but I would take long breaks, sometimes cutting and sewing scales (then break), hand painting each and every scale (then break), then attaching over 5,000 crystals.

This ended up weighing a bit more than I had thought it would, which was just wishful thinking on my part. One thing I’m torn on is the lower wings….I don’t know if I love them. I’m thinking of replacing them with “perkier” wings instead of wings that lay on the skirt. Opinions on that PLEASE!!

🪲 Beetles Adopt 🪲

🌱 Mike is a dung beetle who spends his days on his tablet playing video games, especially Riblox, his favorite game. Sometimes he thinks about going out to run in the grass, like the other kids his age.

🌸 Marie-Rose is a little ladybug who loves to take care of herself and wear daisy perfume. She is secretly in love with Bruno, but she probably goes unnoticed too easily.

🎄 Phil is, unfortunately for him, a stag beetle. His mandibles, much larger than average, tend to frighten others, and it makes him sad. He wears a small colorful garland to seem more approachable.

🪨 Bruno is a Hercules beetle whose only calling in life is to become a guard in the royal army of the Sacred Coleoptera, but also to grow stronger… so that he can win the heart of the lovely Marie-Rose.

(oc x oc) evil koinu & ahrim AU (Ahrim is my friend Kai's tav as seen here!)

Kai & I imagined what Ahrim (second image, they/them) & Koinu (first image, any pronouns) would look like in an evil AU…

These two would end up being lovers (with some mild manipulation on Ahrim’s end, but they’d end up loving Koinu eventually) and together would rise to decimate lolth & replace her in the Underdark, ruling with an iron fist.

I had SO much fun designing evil Koinu here and thank you so much @spookyglassdoodles for doing this collab with me, this is so silly & I love them C:
