Why do we need community participation in culture anyway?

It has been shown that people who frequently attend arts and cultural events in community venues tend to be more active participants in community life and therefore make up a potential pool of active supporters for arts and cultural organizations to cultivate.

Thus, in order to promote the development of arts and culture in the region, it is essential that a conducive environment be created first. And community participation seems to be the way to do it!

TOUT Maastricht : our ardent client!

For those of you not familiar with our client, Tout Maastricht is a small, independent network organization that has been working since 2011 to make art & culture visible and accessible throughout Maastricht!   Their primary goal of the organisation is to promote and increase participation in art and culture in the Meuse-Rhine EU region and given the optimal location of Maastricht in this regard, they have chosen to have the foundation of this endeavor right here! During our project, our team is working with the Mr. JJ (Jaap) van Royen [ Director Tout Maastricht & intendant culture participation ] and Mr. Ruud Hanlik [ Culture education & internationalization]. Always eager to help and be involved, we hope to have a fruitful PREMIUM period with them, resulting in the creation of something that is beneficial to the entire community.
