This ship I think I actually got into bc of you tbh, though I def don't ship it as much. I usually prefer Baron to be more of a drunk night out side fling of Nef and hc Vengeous mostly as an a bit outwardly homophobic & repressed bi guy

Never really got into this ship and like to think of the marriage to be more of a convenience thing but I do gotta admit they got some chemistry - I'm just not really into Serafina tho

While Creed might have survived the attack that took the lives of his siblings in the Leibniz dimension that doesn't mean he got to live long. With Serafina dead and Mevolent losing his mind out of grief, Creed paid for his berating of Mevolent with his life.

In an angry outburst, he's beaten him to death in front of his court. Mevolent claims he was making an example of Creed, but Nefarian knows him better than that. Mevolent was losing control of himself, which was a dangerous thing for the whole damn planet.

When Mevolent decided to poison all of America it's something Nef brought up again, calling him out that his rampage wasn't for Serafina, it's not what she would have wanted, it's for himself. He cannot claim all of this carnage is for her if even her own brother fell victim to his rage and grief, not only ending an Ancient Bloodline of Faceless descendants but also ending the bloodline of the wife he claimed to love.

There is very little he could have said to enrage Mevolent more, after all very few things are more infuriating than an uncomfortable truth.

"How dare you claim what Serafina would have wanted! You do not know her like like I know her. You do not love her like I love her."

Nefarian wasn't at his side like he usually was when Mevolent annihilated America. He stayed in the castle licking his wounds, making up his mind that Mevolent could not be permitted to live, not in the state he is in now. He must be put down like the rabid dog he had become. It would be a mercy for both Mevolent and the world.

Oh, Mev be looking good in his finery! I especially love the laurels and the multiple collars. It looks like you’ve layered multiple shirt choices on top of each other? I would have added sandals tho like the ones he’s wearing in SoW. I think he was only barefoot in KotW bc he had just gotten done with his daily death ritual. Btw I also really like the back decoration!

i headcanon Serfaina is sterile

Bc Mev and Sera failed to produce a kid together?

It's a popular theory that it's pretty hard for mages to get kids, so that could be it.

There is the boring version of Mev not wanting kids bc he didn't want an heir to challenge his rule. But the Unnamed already did something similar with his male heirs and I view Mev as trying to be a better person than his former masters.

And then there's the old angsty theory that Mev and Sera had a child and they tried to activate it. After all with Sera's FO blood and Mev's Ancient blood (you can rip that headcanon from my cold dead hands) the activation has to work, right? Wrong. It failed and Mev had to kill the creature bc they didn't want their child to exist in this state. Both of them were too traumatised to try and have a child again.

My fav version is that there is a good chance that Mev wanted to win the war first so they could raise their kids in peace, but Sera died at the end of the war, so they didn't get a chance to start a family.

The reason Serafina looks taller than she should be is because she's wearing heels.

Take those into account and she should be a full head shorter than Mevolent, which puts her in 7ft territory if he's 8ft.

They look so badass together, what a power couple <3 Ngl this is better than any merch Landy/HC could ever come up with for SP! I have such a mighty need to nasty squad figures, but even if they made them I know they’d be awful 😭

I adore how he is in a protective stance without directly protecting her?? Like, he knows his waifu is a badass ready to kick ass, but he also can’t help being protective of her after having lost her once before </3 And Sera by his side looking like the strong and confident killer queen she is <3

This is also the first time you showed me Mev with his helmet off and hood on. Previously you had only shown him with the helmet. Honestly? I think I prefer him without. Shouldn’t hide that handsome face <3

What about, Mevolent being pissed for something. But really pissed. The kind of pissed that makes Nef and Sef worried.

So for that reason we see Nef and Sef making a "special taking care of him" afternoon; like massaging him, comforting him or.... Cof cof other things.

Mevolent wouldn't accept that cause he doesn't accept vulnerability. So they just take him to the bedroom with some weird excuse.

Mev enjoys the treatment that he's receiving. But he won't admit it. It doesn't really matter cause Nef/Sef know him and to see him quietly leaning against the chest of one of them, eyes closed and a relaxed face, is enough for them to know that he's comfortable.

Mevolent is grateful to have them. He won't admit that either. But it's a extreme contrast with how he was treated when he was under The Unnamed rule. Where he was constantly pushed to work no matter what his mind or body could be feeling. Where he was mistreated only for to be a little more off or tired or weak...

So it's a strange relief for him to have someone taking care of him. Nef has been by Mev's side for more time than Sef. So he knows better all the weight that he's always carrying.

Mevolent sees Nefarian as his little gift from the Gods. His purpose is to make his life easier and help Mev to bring their dark Gods back in any way he can. From serving him on the battlefield to helping him relax when home. So he is already used to getting spoiled by him. Nef has an excellent understanding of the human body (as shown in book 1 through his creation of the black blood) and I headcanon him to rely on pressure points when fighting. But... his knowledge doesn't have to be used only for harm. Nef is actually quite good at giving massages and it has occurred more than once that Mev would forget the time and work too deep into the night until Nef would begin to massage his shoulders and softly remind him that he needs his sleep. Mev sights and leans back, letting Nef drap his arms around his shoulders and nuzzle his cheek against his master's. Nef is such a hypocrite bc his work habits are way worse than Mev's, but to be fair, he doesn't spend half as much time on the battlefield as his master does.

Serafina is the only one of the three that's reasonable and she always gotta have her eyes on her two workaholics lest they work themselves into an early grave. Mev might not be consciously aware of it, but he loves her caring, motherly nature, it's something he has never experienced until her. And it is oh so easy for her to wrap him around her little finger. Serafina is most likely the only person Mev actually listens to, stubborn as he is.

There were times when it was even beyond Nef's capabilities to calm Mevolent down and he'd rather hide and wait the storm out, but with Sera taking the lead he dares approach. Sera isn't afraid of Mev, but Nef sure as Hell is.

But now that he has two of them, Mev doesn't stand a chance, he's gonna get smothered in love if he wants to or not. They don't even need to come up with a weird excuse. soft touches and purred words of how much they miss his attention, how much they need him is enough. After all, what kind of lover would he be if he didn't take care of his sweethearts? Switching it around to them needing him when really he is the one in need of a little affection tends to work quite well. They all know what's happening but they are all playing along.

Nefarian never told Sera about the things Mev (and himself) went through under the Unnamed's command since he's aware Mev doesn't want her to know. That said, you better believe they are teaching each other how to spoil Mev more whenever they find something he especially likes.

Who needs a harem if you have two sweethearts that genuinely care about you? Mevolent is feeling truly blessed.

Bonus: in a modern AU they would totally talk him into a movie night bc 'they need an evening to relax', but it ends with them putting on Mev's fav movie, Nef cooks Mev's fav snacks and Sera pours him his favourite drink. They watch cuddled against him on each side, Nef with his head nuzzled under Mev's chin and Sera running her hand through Mev's hair and nuzzling his cheek. Mev knows they 'tricked' him again, but why not humour them and play along if it will make all three of them happy~?

Of The Unveiled and the Faceless Blood

The Grimoire revealed that Creed, Serafina and the Of The Unveiled Siblings are one of the six Faceless bloodlines. I’m really annoyed that nothing was done with it.

Like, for Abyssinia and especially Valkyrie it is this massive deal and for the Unveiled it’s not even mentioned within the main books, despite the story relevance it could have.

For one, their bloodline could be the reason Mevolent originally decided to marry Serafina. I mean, with six families that are direct descendants of the FO why would anyone of the Faceless Church follow Mev as their messiah? (mentioned here and here)

Alternatively Serafina could have chosen Mevolent as her husband in the hopes her genes mixed with his (I still think him being a descendant of the Ancients would make a lot of sense and explain so much) would be able to produce a Child of the Faceless Ones.* (mentioned here)

Strosivadian‘s deformities could be a direct result of an activation gone wrong (kinda like Harpy Valkyrie). (mentioned here and here)

It would have also been cool had it been revealed that Creed had tried to activate his own offspring but it had failed every time. Just to really hammer home what a ruthless bad guy he is.

Also, I kinda expected more to happen with the kith. They were a cool horror aesthetic  and that’s it. No them coming to life and forming a fucked up army of faceless horrors. Hos disappointing.
