It started off simple. Sign up for this volunteer experiment where you’d be sedated and monitored in exchange for a good sum of money. The catch was that nobody seemed to have taken their eyes off the cash long enough to read the fine print. Nobody asked how long they’d stay sedated. 2014 quickly became 2030 by the time they woke up. It seems that the experiment they signed up for is more elaborate than they ever thought. Two of the volunteers (DeHaan & Plaza) must stick together to figure out what exactly they’re both in for and navigate this new world they’ve woken into.
