Esta obra maestra del arte islám fue realizada, al menos en la forma que conocemos, para conmemorar la toma de Algeciras por Muhammad V en 1368. Las dos puertas de forma rectangular, y no en forma de arco de herradura, bordeadas con cenefa de cerámica, nos indican la entrada al palacio oficial del Sultán. Entrando por la puerta de la izquierda y siguiente sus trazados en ángulos rectos y escalonados, llegamos al Palacio de Comares, concretamente al Patio de los Arrayanes. 🔴 Nasrid Palaces - Mexuar - View of the Façade of the Mexuar Courtyard from the Golden Room. This masterpiece of Islamic art was made, at least as we know it, to commemorate the capture of Algeciras by Muhammad V in 1368. The two rectangular-shaped doors, and not in the form of a horseshoe arch, bordered with ceramic border, indicate the entrance to the official palace of the Sultan.
