#meyer eye

I did finish the shirt a long while ago but I remembered I never really showed the end result. I love this Eye so much I can’t see to stop myself from plastering it EVERYWHERE. Also damn, I’m so scared about the next few episodes of The Path. Everything seems to be falling apart and I just want my babies to be happy :X

I’ve had a little more time to do stuff lately. I don’t know if it’ll last since I’m actively looking for a job and for postgrads… but in the meantime, I have a few embroidery projects planned! I’m excited (:

This eye is so alluring I can't stop. I’m going to end up in a cell in an asylum drawing this eye all over the walls and screaming about the Light and the Future coming hahaha

This is what my afternoon looked like: Shelock rewatch and new Meyerist project. I just can’t help myself apparently. Only this time I won’t end up with terrible wrist pain!

This Eye is the one Summer has hanged in her room (: Second (third actually) will be the eye-design they have in the back of the Chapel of the NY compound.

I love having free time!

Project finished!✨ Ascend the Ladder of Enlightenment, so that someday we may be free of these earthly forms and live as Light, together, in the Garden. ☀ 

Gosh, I’m actually happy with the result! I have some troubles with it up-close, but when it’s hung you can barely see any imperfections. In all honesty, this project has been great for my mental health, which I’m so thankful for. It has helped me bring balance to my chaotic few weeks. A little light to brighten my day/week/month ✨  I’m counting the days until the season finale!

Project dilema

Okay, so I don’t know how to proceed with the Meyer Eye. I have both opaque and shiny varnish, and I have Linseed oil. I did a test on a small piece of MDF (which was the wood I used) and I find that I don’t like the finish of either of the options I have! The wood is too absorbent, the products end up darkening the wood too much and it looks like the wood is simply wet instead of having a pretty finish. I so regret using MDF, BUT I’m determined to finish this one before venturing into a second Eye. I’ve been doing a little bit of research and I found that what I should use is a Wood Sealer. It apparently would neutralize the absorbance of the MDF, which is what I want. BUT, I would have to buy it (of course) and even then, maybe the results wouldn’t be exactly right. It’s actually not that expensive, around 6000 pesos (roughly 8-10 dollars). But I didn’t plan on buying stuff and I’m a little short on money for this month… DILEMA.

Project on standby until I find a way to deal with this.
