This second set features Virtue In Vain and The River Card.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Virtue In Vain are one of the most exciting metal bands on the South Wales scene and are a must for anyone looking for heavy music with a twist. They played a great set though many of the photos were too big to upload here without much quality loss, I guess you can take that as a measure of how good they were. Check out their bandcamp.

The River Card are straight-up hardcore band that have been touring the UK and Europe for a good few years. I picked up their 'The Great Fall' 7" after the show. It's pretty sweet and a good introduction to what they do. They're in process of funding/recording a new album as well so help them out and pick something up from their store if you can.

I did what will probably be my last gig as a stills photographer for the next few months, as I focus on film projects, back at the end of March. It was The River card + Suport at Meze Lounge.

This set is captures the first two supporting bands From Beginning to End and The Dirty South.

From Beginning To End are a up-and-coming local metal core band who have a atmospheric/scuzzy/darker edge to their sound that reminds me of Full Of Hell a little bit.

The Dirty South are a melodic metal core band. Despite some technical problems they really impressed me. They seem to playing quite a few high profile supporting gigs around South Wales and I would whole-heartily recommend checking them out.
