Dorabella's aria Smanie implacabili from Così fan tutte sung by Emily D'Angelo is two minutes of perfection (Teatro alla Scala, 2020)

Music in VEN
As someone who sings opera, one of the best parts of VEN is just hearing people casually belting out classics like "Funiculì, funiculà" and "El donna e mobile" and "Santa Lucia".
While I love them, in a technical sense, the singing is not that great. But even if it's off key sometimes and not the best, it warms my little vocalist heart.
Here's a list of Italian songs heard in the game thus far:
“Se vuol ballare”, Mozart, Le Nozze di Figaro
“Funiculì, funiculà”, Denza (the pizza delivery song, i guess)
“El donna e mobile”, Verdi, Rigoletto
“Santa Lucia”, Cottrau (also that song with the little music box horse thing in Fango’s office)
“Caro mio ben”, Giordani (lovely aria for multiple ranges. even as a mezzo, i’ve sang this. every beginning mezzo/soprano has sang this)
“Largo al factotum”, Rossini, The Barber of Seville (props to the guy who sang this one)
So excited for tonight’s opera night: a brilliant production of Bizet’s Carmen starring one of my favorite mezzos, Elina Garanča!
