Help/Advice for LMMS/MIDI Fighter 3D
Hello to those who may be reading this! I’m a musician, but up until now, my music has been limited to physical instruments; Saxophones, Bass Clarinet, Bass Guitar, Cello, Piano, Guitar; etc etc. I’ve always wanted to explore digital music production, but didn’t have the know-how or tools to do so. I once had a pirated copy of Fruity Loops (which I’m missing right about now), but otherwise, that was it. A few months ago I downloaded LMMS, but never did anything with it. For Christmas, I purchased for myself the DJ Tech Tools’ MIDI Fighter 3D. With that purchase, I decided I’ll finally take on this beast. But... I’m lost.
I don’t know where to start in all of this. I guess first and foremost I should ask: CAN I map the MF3D into LMMS? If the answer is yes (hopefully), where do I start?
EDIT: I figured out Why I couldn’t get my MF3D to work in LMMS pretty much a half-hour after I posted this. I had my drivers installed incorrectly, and just had to resinstall them. If anyone wants to give me tips/tricks/pointers for beginners, I’d still appreciate any of that.
I do have a new question though: the MF3D has it’s animations (Tilt, Rotation, and Spark, on-press). Is there any way to customize the spark animation? the MF utility djtt provides doesn’t seem to allow anything like that.
